Alexander is the second expansion pack for Rome: Total War. It takes place in 336 BC, and the player can take the role of Alexander the Great in his ascension to the Macedonian throne and conquest of lands to the east. Eight factions exist in the game, with different units than in Rome: Total War and Barbarian Invasion.
So I gave Dagovax the idea to re-make the old Star Wars: Total War mod. I had the models from the easily mod-able game Freedom Force - and when he tried getting them into the Rome: Total War engine they worked well. FF is from 2005 (the expansion) and RTW is a game from 2004 - so the models were old enough. The new version 3.0 adds Luke Skywalker from RotJ to the Rebel Alliance, and they also get all of the Ewooks and a Wookie-unit previously in use by the slave-faction only, and they'll get a T4-B Heavy tank. The Galactic Empire has a new IG-88 Assassin Droid, Vaders bodyguard of First Order Troopers have become its own unit, Gamorrean Guards have been added to both the slave-faction and the Empire. A new Historical Battle in the 2nd Death Star has been implemented. Emperor Palpatine with lightning attack added to the historical battle, and finally I've fixed a bunch of missing Unit cards.
Nice, good addition ^^ Also adding this to Rome: Total War Remastered ? :) Good rest of the year, enjoy rl & coding :)
Dagovax has that in mind but is currently working on porting Total War 1942 to the Remaster.
I don't have a lot of skills in RTW sadly - it's similar to Medieval 2 but for some reason things never work out well in RTW when I mod it.
Just checked out. Especially the graphics looks really good in this mod. I'm gonna follow.
Yeah, the models are way more modern than this game but reduced in quality to work in the game - they still outshine every other model in RTW modding history in terms of quality.
