Riot! is a single player game with arcade style gameplay and a cel-shaded world for the PSP' Players will choose either the Police or Rioters and take control of a random member of either team' Players also have the ability to join the game as a spectator and watch the AI battle itself' There will be several team specific weapons and gear' Batons, shields, tear gas grenades and gas masks, for the police' Fists, baseball bats, bricks, and bandanas for the rioters' The game takes place in a near future setting in these major cities, Toronto, Budapest, and Tokyo' Each of these enviroments will have a totally unique look from each other'

This mostly comes down to the PSP homebrew scene still not figuring out how to use the 3d rendering hardware to render things.
Though there has been good news, I guess. I read in an interview that the psp could run OpenGL. It's pretty easy to get into, because of the abundance of tutorials.
So I've been working on a OpenGL engine for the game.
