Return to Stonehenge is not your typical fantasy RPG. This game blends settings from deep space, to present day cities, to medieval castles in the distant past, sometimes even within the same level.

This world is a screwy one, but here’s the premise as it is at the moment:

This story revolves around one man, the High Chief of the most sacred Druidic clan. The fate of the universe veered drastically off course the day he used the power of Stonehenge to try and communicate with the gods of nature. The ancient energies of that site far predated his clan and far outpaced his feeble understanding of it. Consequently, the borders between dimensions were torn, and time was turned on its head.

Now, dimensions are streaming into and out of existence, seemingly at random, and time skips and jumps, running in opposite directions from moment to moment. The man seeks to right the chaos he unleashed on the world, though he doesn't know how. Through his travels and adventures, he encounters himself from other dimensions and times, and is terrified at what he learns. These other selves have been leading journeys of their own, some amassing great power. While some use that power for good, others seek dominion over the other dimensions, and still others want to destroy the foreign dimensions and timelines, dooming all the inhabitants within.

The end they seek to accomplish their goals with is always the same, to harness the power of Stonehenge. But there’s just one problem: no one can find it. Return to Stonehenge unfolds as each of the parallel selves of our protagonist vie with each other in the search for the lost site, discovering their pasts, futures, power, and part in this cosmic mess.

Chapter 1: In Chapter 1 you will find yourself controlling Roger. Roger has been sent to a time before he remembers his mission by another self of his. This fiery antagonist seeks to lure the unsuspecting man into a trap and kill him, for who knows what dastardly goal. You will notice that something odd is happening in this land. Even the wildlife is becoming hostile as the fabric of existence is torn and mended to meet some dark intent.

Features:

Responsive Battles
- This game won't allow you to simply go through trading auto attacks with enemies and succeed. There are various mechanics that promote single target focusing, spread damage, playing defensively, passing a turn strategically, pooling mana for heals, and many more. The idea was to take some of the best combat ideas from various games of all genres and adapt them to a turn based RPG. The result has been described as "a WoW raid if it were turn based" and "Pokemon on roids".

Quests
- You won't be moving linearly through level after level (minor exception for Chapter 1 which is sort of linear, but meant as a kind of tutorial), but will instead encounter various quests that require you to think, explore, and complete actions before you can advance.

Secrets
- There are a ton of secrets hidden throughout the world, some much harder to find than others. In every case, finding these secrets will grant your characters a benefit, and can make all the difference in beating that enemy or losing. This game rewards you for exploring and being aware.

Compelling Story
- Return to Stonehenge already has an awesomely vivid storyline in store. This chronologically jumbled adventure will leave you intrigued by mystery, picking your jaw up off of the floor after carefully planned twists, wiping away tears, and marveling at insights into previous chapters you've played. The various intertwined characters of Return to Stonehenge, and the world they inhabit will come to life in a stunning and deeply entertaining way.
