  Jason Dawn was a drinker and a gambler who lived with his daughter Rosie in a rundown apartment next to Carol Park. Jason has accumulated a large gambling debt and faces pressure from local organized crime. After a storm hits, Jason and Rosie get in a car accident and Rosie disappears. Jason awakens in a nightmarish version of his past. He unravels the shocking truth about his daughter's whereabouts and confronts his darkest demons.

  Jason is the story's main protagonist. He's a recovering alcoholic who lived a life of crime on the streets earlier in life. Despite his flaws, he's very protective of his daughter, Rosie, and looks after her when his wife leaves. He's troubled by his past and is haunted by his demons.

  Rosie is Jason's teenage daughter and his main motivation in life. She's the reason he cleaned up his act, and she's the only real family he has. She enjoys hiking and takes trips with her father regularly. After the car accident she disappears and it is up to Jason to find her.
