This mod adds English subtitles to the cutscenes. It does not add (and fix) the in-game subtitles whatsoever.
This mod will works with both Steam and Zoom Platform version of the game, Retail untested but probably should work.
Also includes tutorial on how to fix the Police Academy cutscene for those using older (or retail) version of the game (not required for Steam or Zoom since an update in Feb 2024 and Zoom v1.3+ respectively).

Did you know, that the German version of Postal III, it will enable the cutscenes subtitles, but it is only available for that language, plus by default it's was partially broken on some of them due to the blank line without any text on it at the beginning and the end of the subtitles, these can be easily fixed, through.
This mod (technically it isn't the mod, but rather adds a subtitle file), simply adds English subtitles to the game cutscenes. It does not add the in-game subtitles whatsoever.
This was partially made with tools such as built-in Live Captions on Windows, OCR it using ShareX, then carefully comparing the officially made German subtitles using Google Translate and adjusting it to match whatever the character said as much as possible. It wasn't 100% perfect but it's should be decently good enough.
Installation and Uninstall instructions can be found on the ZIP file.
Also includes fix for the swapped Police Academy Good/Insane Path cutscene which were present only in Retail version (and older Steam/Zoom release prior to Feb 2024 Steam ver update and Zoom v1.3 respectively), but must be done manually by renaming files (for now).
To enable it, go to "Options > Audio > Captioning (set it to Closed Captions or Subtitles)"
