Medieval Engineers is a sandbox game about engineering, construction and the maintenance of architectural works and mechanical equipment using medieval technology. Players build cities, castles and fortifications; construct mechanical devices and engines; perform landscaping and underground mining. The game is inspired by real medieval technology and the way people built architectural and mechanical works in medieval times. Medieval Engineers strives to follow the laws of physics and real history and doesn't use technologies that were not available in 5th to 15th century. Medieval Engineers, is the company’s second “engineering” game after Space Engineers.
In this patch we improved the speed at which inventory items transfer between inventories when you bulk-move large amounts of items, the respawn camera is now positioned correctly on your claimed respawn bed, and we solved an issue that prevented you from respawning when alt+tabbing in the respawn screen. Additionally, we have even further improved the performance with the fracture pieces, they should no longer freeze the game when a building just started collapsing. Switching toolheads in the mechanical crafting blocks will now return the resources that were being used, putting it in line with the other crafting processes at this time.
Enjoy the update, and see you with 0.6.3!

I have over 900 hours into this game and cannot say enough about how good it is. The art direction, the addictive gameplay, even the music. It will eventually be a 10/10 game if they keep going on the track they are on.
It is still in Alpha though, and some of the game mechanics (especially in multiplayer) are un or under-developed, so it can frustrating when you lose all your work to an update or bug, or some griefer levels your castle while you are offline.
Single player avoids the griefing issue, but it feels pretty lonely having an entire planet to yourself, and once your castle is built, there is nothing more to do, except build another castle.
So if you like early access games, this one is a must. If you prefer a fully polished experience, give the devs a little more time, then buy it.

Is this and Space engineers connected?
They are made by the same developer, KEEN, and I believe they use the same engine. Many of the features they add in one is also added in the other, just a different time period. EX: AI, Voxel, Basic Controls, and even early versions of ME has the SE astronaut as the player. Other than that they are not connected. You most likely will not be able to build a spaceship and leave the planet in ME.

Unless you build a good enough catapult... hmmm...

These guys are great and have my vote. I know this will be one of the best games around when they are finished. I love being excited every week about the updates. Thanks for everything keen.
Love this game! It's so much fun to create things and then use the siege engines to knock 'em down!
