Infinitus...The Game! A first-person Sandbox MMO where you can build cities or simple houses, sculpt the landscape to your hearts desire or just make sure it's flat for your new farms, and fulfill the life of a local hunter, or a farmer, a fighting soldier, a famous traveller, and so much more! Here on MODDB, we keep posted about new models, upcoming features, and eventually videos of the game, trailers, new tests on video, tutorials, and even downloads to the game in its beta. Want to read more about the game? Check out www.Infinitus-game.weebly.com Infinitus The Game is currently considered on the 'indev' stage (indev/alpha/beta/released)
Today is a very special day, as the Infinitus Designs team officially pieces together a small indev version of Infinitus, allowing us to really test the features that indev 0.1.5.0 curently have.
And so...The Indev stage begins!
A few points about the progress of infinitus:
1: A public release of the game will not be available till we declare the game in Alpha.
2: We hope to reach the stage of Alpha by sometime in spring 2012.
3: Through all of Alpha, we will NOT charge any accounts on infinitus. However, depending on how far we are when we reach Beta, we may or may not stay F2P during Beta.
4: We continue to develop every day, and you can expect to see real improvements during and after the christmas season.
Stay Tuned!

Looking through the features list, this looks like it will be a game very similar to Wurm...
Edit: Looks 100x more beautiful, though!
Wurm is very much an inspirational piece to infinitus, I still play wurm regularly. Wurm is held back by Java and the fact that the entire team is volunteers apart from the owner
Looks very interesting. I'm definitely tracking this one as I've been looking for a game like this for a while. Mortal online and all the other ones are so buggy though. Hopefully this one won't be buggy at full release xD.
Tracking!
Looks interesting.... I look forward to becoming a warlord, bringing bloodshed into the homes of those that stand in my way! >:D
I look forward to watching the locals go mental and forming player riots and overthrowing your rule.
I can gaurantee that's gonna happen by V1.0 ;)
I am a kind ruler, and I will keep the peace, through diplomacy or force.
Any riots will result in the releasing of a few clones of Chuck Norris!
All mental or insane citizens will be put into homes where they will be either treated like handicapped or euthanized.
Anyone discovered to be against my rule will be tied to a tree, upside down, for 24 hours.
Allowing ragdoll physics onto dead bodies to let us move them about will exist in-game.
but player bodies will be easy to move, other ones like a cow or a fat pig, will not be so easy, and may require 2 players to push it ( i'm not letting those bodies casually decay, you have to bury em or burn em, or butcher em and sell it all)
Bonfires made of the corpses of the conspiracists? Sounds like a plan!
will most likely attract bears and trolls and other various monsters in search of flesh, and you'd be the living target lol.
can i ask how do you think to avoid the limit of 64 player from the UDK?
i'm willing to start a project based on UDK but this limit pulls me off of it, so any advice on how to remove the limit or whatever will be much appreciated.
DLLBind - you create your own networking layer and plug it in that way. Sure you won't be able to take advantage of UnrealScript's replication syntax, but it is entirely doable.
nice to know, i'll look forward to it
