Hubris is a singleplayer experience in the same vein as Dear Esther or The Graveyard in that it strives to provoke a set of emotions through minimalist mechanics. Hubris, in particular, attempts to instill a sense of the sublime. The technique attempted to evoke this feeling is a gradual escalation of scale and scope, so that at each subsequent turn the player says "wow."
This is a full release of Hubris, a short, atmospheric game like Dear Esther or The Funeral. There is no interaction or narrative, simply a world to absorb and (I hope) emotions to experience. Since the amount of content doesn't warrant the file size of 239 mb, future releases may have superior data compression and menu interface. The core content, however, will remain unchanged. To play, simply install and select from start menu. If the installation does not create a start menu shortcut, the game can be found in C:\UDK\Hubris.HubrisInfo\Binaries\Win32 as "UDK.exe" Use WASD to move and mouse to look. For fullscreen, press F11. Alt-tab to exit.
