A RESTAURANT SIMULATOR THRILLER: Set over one week in the rundown English town of New Dunwich, "Harry's Burgers" is an unsettling tale of a shop owner struggling to keep his family safe from a local serial killer; a struggle made worse when Harry discovers his brother has come to visit. Players accompany Harry at the shop and at home - selling burgers in the day so he can afford to secure the house each night!

  • Restaurant management with real stakes: Control Harry as he runs his shop, mastering a range of appliances and juggling orders, shop repairs and more. Make enough money each day to purchase the items Harry needs to secure his house and keep the killer out. Programmer and designer Andrew Capela's tense gameplay will drive your day-to-day operations in a genre mashup like no other.

  • A Love-letter to classic thrillers: Inspired by the likes of Stanley Kubrick's "The Shining" and Brad Anderson's "The Machinist", writer Scott Newton's vivid characters and unsettling themes weave a murderous tale you won't soon forget.

  • Gritty hand-drawn art: Set somewhere between the uncanny valley and a children's picture book, We Need to Go Deeper artist Nick Lives' hand-drawn work will keep you in a state of unease.

  • Professional soundscapes and soundtrack: Every sizzle, clatter, and distant footstep is crafted with care and detail by film industry sound engineer Robbie Scott, delivering a Hollywood-grade soundscape to ground the world of Harry's Burgers. Music composer Matt Cox compliments these sounds with a haunting soundtrack, drawing from years of experience in the games industry.

Hello Indie DB gamers!

As 2018 launches, so is the Steam page for Digital Window’s new restaurant simulator thriller, “Harry’s Burgers”.

The game, which follows a week in the life of burger shop owner Harry Walters, will offer players a haunting story-driven experience with addictive cooking mechanics.

“It’s our way of pushing the ‘walk-em-up’ genre forward; preserving the quality storytelling but linking it to more engaging gameplay”, said Director of Digital Window, Scott Newton.

Through a daily routine across three main settings, “Harry’s Burgers” will see players fighting to keep the shop running while protecting Harry’s family from a serial killer plaguing the town.

Inspired by the likes of Papers Please, The Shining and Bloodline, our intercontinental team is committed to producing a patty-frying, goosebump-inducing experience like no other.

Check out www.harrysburgers.com and our Steam page for the game’s first screenshots, featuring the gritty hand-drawn style of artist Nick Lives (We Need to Go Deeper).

While Nick cooks up the rest of the game’s art, we have also prepared a Soundscape Teaser to showcase the eerie work of our sound engineer, Robbie Scott (Baby Driver).

Now that you've got a better idea of what we're trying to achieve, could you let us know which of the UI you prefer in the image above, for showing tutorial messages? There's the 1. Blackboard, 2. Neon sign or 3. Clipboard. Thank you!
