BSPZip Wizard (aka List Wizard)
by scratch
Update 06th of May 2017
Valve changed a couple of things over the years, but I have no urge to recompile the program to make it run effortlessly. It still works for every source based game - however to set it up properly do the following:
- First of all, make sure your material files use quotes like that: "$basetexture" "wood_01"
If you leave out quotes around the parameter the program doesn't detect the texture properly.
- start the program
- import sdk profiles by choosing "SteamApps\common\Source SDK Base 2013 Multiplayer\" or any SDK folder that contains "bin\gameinfo.txt" and hit "ok"
- The above step is necessary for the program to create the file "config.cfg" within its folder. Now open that config file to edit your profiles. The setup should be straight forward.
- Generate the TXT file when you're done adding all the files to the list. The automatic bspzip process doesn't work anymore because of changed folder structure. Instruction on how to use bspzip can be found here: Developer.valvesoftware.com

v0.4 Beta -- 22/10/07
BSPZip Wizard is a fully-featured tool for Source-based games which enables you to easily embed all your custom content into your map with BSPZip.
Features:
- Easy-to-use profile manager - just import your SDK profiles and it's done
- Directory Exclusion Lists - no more worries about accidentally embedding stuff you don't need
- Complete scan of the map - including soundscapes, level overview, .ain and .nav files
- Console Log - keep track of what's going on
- Basic error-checking for .vmt files - if files are missing the console will tell you
- Userfriendly interface
For more detailed information refer to the readme.htm file included in the archive.
Changes in v0.4b:
- fixed a potential memory leak
- hidden objects (visgroups) are disregarded now by default
- material proxies can now be defined anywhere
- after saving a list you now have the choice of embedding the content automatically
- removed the "Stop Scan" button which actually is an obsolete function from a previous alpha version
Just a quick information here: If you're having difficulties importing your SDK profiles and are mapping for an EP1 game, just select the sourcesdk\bin\ep1 folder instead of the sourcesdk folder.
Valve changed the directory structure with EP2 so it's not my fault, dunno if EP2-based games need the same procedure since i don't own it.
Two questions:
Is the download safe
?
Does the tool still work?
