Pale Coins
Role PlayingPale Coins is an Action RPG set in a fantasy world with challenging combat, open world exploration and a variety of items.
This is a game with heavy procedural generation. The world is created at the beginning and each terrain takes certain details from this original map. Cities are placed around the world and roads are spread between them. The finished game will be heavy on Crafting, leveling, and exploring. Randomly generated quests will also be a big feature. But the main quest will be that in each world that you visit there will be a randomly generated story arc. The whole point of this game is to try and capture the splendour of the 16bit era. but in full 3D. That is why I am using sprites and 32x32 pixel textures. To try and capture a snes/psx feel. Its my dream game I guess inspired by games of old like Secret of Mana, FF4 and FF6 but also newer games like Minecraft, Terraria and Cubeworld.

Remember seeing this awhile ago on the Blitz forums before they went down. Glad to see its still being developed.
I really like the art style.... it shows how not everything has to be ultra realistic. It just has not to fail on a certain level it wants to accomplish. Very nice :)
What a neat idea. I love the look!
