Fortify 2 is a mission based RTS, construct and defend your castle while exploring what drove Godric to turn against Holgaria.
After two years of no updates I'm back with a small update. I have basically not been working on this game at all, but I find myself coming back now and again and lately a bit more consistently. Enough have changed that I thought it was time for another devlog. Even though I might never finish the game I still enjoy tinkering with it and who knows, maybe it will catch on and I will be able to finish it.
Fortify 2 is going to be about building and defending your castle using classic units as well as powerful heroes. As I mention in the video, my goal is to get the first three levels complete and polished as if the game is completed. This forces me to make sure the underlying systems are robust and extendable for the rest of the game.
The first three levels are going to capture a lot of the game's mechanics. The first level is an introduction to the game in general with some units. Second level will only feature the hero with his or her abilities, teaching the player how to handle heroes and abilities. Finally the third level will combine this to a more classic Fortify level where you will defend your castle and possibly even building your own.
