A shadow is rising over Ateras. The knowledge of the Scorth has been put to use, and a powerful ritual performed. The bane of the island has risen once more: Edin. Long has his memory rested peacefully, but now he's back, more powerful than ever, and fueled by nothing but hatred and vengeance. And he is not alone, for with him he has legions of Draugar, called from beyond their graves to do his bidding and claim the throne of Ateras that should have been his. You are the only one who can stop him. Build your village, assign roles to your villagers, stock up on resources, defend yourself and strike back! In Broken Blood you will have to work together with your people to survive. The game introduces you to a completely new low-fantasy universe that will allow you to explore a whole new world.
But beware, there are foul secrets to be uncovered that may be too much to bear.
You play as Ragnulf, a young man who lost his father during the Kargoth Rebellion against King Harold. The king's son, Eirik, took care of you after the rebellion. He trained you, raised you, and taught you everything you know. But now, the unthinkable is happening. Nothing could have prepared anyone for it, for the Scorth Rituals are rarely used, they are unnatural, and they always come with a heavy price. And now Edin is rising once again. As one of the few remaining survivors on the remote island of Ateras, you must take up the role as leader of a community and build a village. As you play on the open world map your adventures will take you through ravaged settlements, from simple villages to grand fortresses, where you can loot resources from the burnt down buildings. You must defend your village from raids and invasions or fall alongside everyone else. Build up your community from nothing to a full-blown town, with townspeople doing daily routines and guards patrolling, and buildings like a barracks, smithy, guard tower and a windmill.
Sorry to disappoint! The game is still in very, very early development and there's a ton of work to be done before we can start giving hints. Keep checking back for updates, however!

It's been awhile but I'm glad you guys have made some progress, is the game going to be single player/co-op? Because if so I think this could overtake the current games similar to this, such as Life is Feudal which cops a bit of flak for being 'single player and multiplayer' but really just multiplayer.
The game is currently being completely made as a Single Player only game, but we never know what the future might hold for us.
Well said, and good luck.
I would love to beta test this game. If it's in the near future, like a few months, I would sign up too. I've started up a youtube channel and should have a mic soon, and I'm looking to try and help out any way possible.
Seems a very depth game! Nice work!
Looking through your screenshots its great seeing proper concept art which a modeller can follow. You can tell you are more than just the mod devs you started out as. If I may ask what version of unity are you using? The newest has very little crashes now and so much more features.
Good luck guys.
I hope this isn't taken the wrong way but are you going for a Mount and Blade sort of feel? If so I can see potential, going to keep track of this.
No. The game actually started out as a mod for Warband, but as the idea changed it became stand-alone.
Ah I see, well it looks good. Keep up the good work ^^
This looks promising. I'll be tracking it. Will there be a Beta (open or closed) later on in the development?
