Description

Playing this with Brutal Doom...I've gotten up to level 4 and so far it's great! Very cinematic, and the maps are pretty cool.

Just tried this yesterday. Very unique maps, with special atmosphere and ambience; yet gameplay is as weird as it is new. It's DOOM, set in a Resident Evil setting. I got stuck on the Ghost Town map, still figuring out how to survive those blasted hitscan snipers out in the open. I like it. One thing bugs me tho: it forces a conversion of some weapons into different sprites, animations, and firing functionality, which are by-and-large worse than PB's default weapons, and make gameplay harder. Tried altering the load order in ZDL (as I usually do when this stuff happens), but no dice. Bah. I'll eventually get used to it.

I figured out how to use it. When you get the M-16 & AK-47 you need to drop the chaingun you'll then equip the M-16. If you drop the M-16, you equip the AK. You'll be able to use it, but if you switch weapons you can't switch back to them. I wish you can be able to switch to it freely instead of dropping your chaingun every time you want to use it

Sorry to hate on someone's work but this WAD has SERIOUS balance and Gameplay issues. You have Hitscan enemies that can fire rapidly, accurately and at very long distances. Even the original and dreaded chaingunner loses accuracy at distance even though he can fire continously. Your "RapidfireTrooper" can snipe you with rapid fire from a distance and even on the lowest difficulty cause you to lose 40 HP before you even know where he is. Due to the distance that he can hit you from you cannot hear the weapon fire and you can BARELY see it at the distance that he can hit you from. Also the accuracy does not seem to change at all with distance. This isn't a challenge, it is simply unfair. The whole point of Doom is to use skill to recognise enemy attack patterns and telegraph their attacks, try and dodge them and then fire back. This entire sequence of events is not possible with the enemy types you present here. How can you defend against an enemy that can kill you before you even see or hear them. The Plasma gun enemy soldiers are just as bad. They can kill you faster but at least you can heard see the projectiles coming at you. Also None of the standard shotguns seem to be compatible with the mod.
