I tried in 2 PC's one with Win XP and another with Win 7 and doesnt matter if i launch the game from desura or from the gamefolder, the game just didnt work at least for me.
Sorry you're having trouble with it- trying to sort it out with Desura & update asap! Can you tell us specifically what happens? Is there an error message or just does nothing? We haven't experienced that particular issue of being unable to launch directly from the exe, so not really sure why that is happening for you.
The game just crash like any other program. Tested in 2 PC's with different hardware and different Windows, both have hardware enuf to run this game, one with Windows XP and another with Windows 7. Both with Microsoft XNA Redistributable 4.0 and Microsoft .NET Frameworks 4.0. Even this way the game stll crashes with a generic message without giving a clue. ¿Maybe a debug version of the game may help you?. After this i have installed other runtimes suchs as Visual C++ 2005/2008/2010 just to discart issues but got still the same issue, the game just refussed to start with the same crash message.
Dont take bad but i request and get a refund. I will re-purchase your game when you fix it.

Makes me think of some oldschool games which i forgot the names of. Never really memorable games but fun as hell.
I had a similar issue time ago and was due the 'call' to the game from the client (this time your issue is with desura), the app call its from external directory wich result in a error of the applicationg trying to search/load the resources/files not from the game directory. I guess u should contact with desura, there should be a option to load the game from directory tru desura instead to just call the routine to load the .exe

When we try to launch the game trough Desura, we got the following message:
Failed to launch item Death Goat, File is not valid exe.
But the game launches on its own? Just trying to figure if it's a Desura or Death Goat issue. Thanks.
If we hit the exe from the game folder, it runs alright. The problem happens when we try to launch it from the Desura client.
Ok- thanks, that helps. At least we know the game is all good. I'll contact Desura tech support and see how to get it resolved.
