THE ENEMIES
Your enemies surround you - hundreds of enraged zombies, dying to taste your flesh. Bad news: they run! Even worst news: zombies are not your only enemies: wild animals, other survivors, nasty weather, bacterias and diseases... They all want you for themselves!
So, wear armor at all time, and don't go out there wearing a T-shirt! Also, keep your thirst for improving your combat and survival skills. Scavenge and craft to improve your gear.
THE LANDSCAPE
- Hundreds of unique locations to discover.
- Walk on abandoned highways, explore cities and desolate wastelands.
- Six months after the outbreak, this is a world like you've never seen before. Scary, but somehow deeply beautiful!
Hello everybody!
We've got some news!
Since the last time we posted, we actually kept working hard on Dead Years! For the last few months, we've been building the small touristic town of Mount Ox. This is where your adventure in the game will unravel! The level design of the town is completed, the engine is pretty much ready, and now we're working on adding some cool features, such as the skill system, the dog and human communication system, the quests, etc.
Another exciting news: we will have a booth at PAX East (Boston, April 22nd to 24th)! W00t!! It was a total blast last year, but this year we feel like pros : we know how to pick our pretzels, and how to make our booth more comfy. Also - well, the game is totally on another level! So, you NEED to come by out booth (#6224), say Hi, and play some Dead Years!
Until then, here are some new screenshots from the game! Stay tuned, and cheers to you all,
The devs (Nat & Phil)

i will definitely buy this game when it comes out on steam. it would have been really great for me if it was 1st person or 3rd person view like day-z or h1z1 but i love it though. cartoon graphic is truly awesome. by the way, when is the release date??
Hey how are you! Sorry for the late reply, the post got stuck in the spam filter :P
First, thanks a lot for the great comment! :)
To answer your question, yes, you will be able to see the game in 3rd and in almost first person view! :) You can zoom-dezoom the point of view in game very easily! Release date, 2017! More info on that soon! Cheers, thanks for the comment!
Oh WOW that art style, GREAT JAB
Thank you! We like your doge:)
looks really beautiful, combining multiple art styles?
Hey there @INtense!! Visually it is Borderlands that inspired us a lot. And then, of course, we put our own twist in it:)
Before i start to be happy, how are the requirements for this game? :(
Hey @henito, please start to be happy ;) We're working hard to lower as much as possible the tech requirements for the game. Recently we exhibited the game while running on a Surface Pro 2, and it went super well on medium graphic settings. No other requirement, just pure pleasure:) (at least, we hope!)
Thanks man, i am tired to see a high pc requirements games...
