Codename: Loop is coming to Steam! news

Hi everyone!

I'm very happy to announce that Codename: Loop is going to be released on Steam when the game is ready! In addition to this great news, I want to take the opportunity to answer some questions that many people have been asking me.

Codename: Loop? What happened to Half-Life: Loop?
Simple answer, that was one of the ways to ensure the game it's way to Steam, additionally, I think the name makes the game stand out from other Half-Life related games and mods.

What happened to your Patreon?
I don't have the time to post exclusive things for the patrons and I don't have an exact window of when the game is going to be released, so I don't want to suffer the pressure that there are people waiting for me to post something new, I appreciate all the support from all the people that support me in the past, and all of you are going to be credited in the game as promised!

What happened to the BSP Support?
I have been working on giving the best possible compatibility to the BSP maps and I am very happy to inform you that the current state of compatibility is incredible, to the point that all loop levels will be created in J.A.C.K (level editor) and will also have support for custom campaigns and levels, in addition to this I will be doing everything I can to support the Steam Workshop, this way everybody will be able to share and download campaigns and levels and maintain this game alive forever.

What about a First Person view?
The main focus of Codename: Loop was to make a "Top-Down" Half-Life game, however... I think that including more perspectives is going to provide more freedom to all the mappers that want to make their own maps, this means that Codename: Loop will feature the standard Top-Down perspective but also a Third Person (Over The Shoulder) view and a "different" first person view for custom maps, mappers will be able to change the perspective at any time by using triggers in their maps.

Will there be documentation on how to make custom levels?
Yes, I'm working on a page that contains info about all entities and features that will be available on Loop, you can take a look at the page, it's ugly but functional, the page is still WIP, all the info here can be changed at any moment but you can have an idea of how the development of the game is going by looking at the features and entities already implemented in the game: Codenameloop.com

When does the game come out?
I don't know, this is a side project, I really enjoy working on this game but I don't have too much time to do it, so I don't have an exact date, the only thing I can say is that some undisclosed people and I are working hard to have a demo finished as soon as possible.
