Cities: Skylines is a modern take on the classic city simulation. The game introduces new game play elements to realize the thrill and hardships of creating and maintaining a real city whilst expanding on some well-established tropes of the city building experience. From the makers of the Cities in Motion franchise, the game boasts a fully realized transport system. It also includes the ability to mod the game to suit your play style as a fine counter balance to the layered and challenging simulation. You’re only limited by your imagination, so take control and reach for the sky!

Everthing about this city builder functions perfectly as you'd expect and more. For instance, one thing speaks to how much thought has and may continue to be put into this game: the ability to close off a body of water with a dam, build pumps in it, and drain it. A short while after draining the body of water, grass soon grows on what was once dirt and you can plop down more city. You can even put sewage pumps along that area beforehand, remove the water pumps before turning them on, and flood your new stretch of city with poop water. If you really hate your citizens, you can place new water pumps in the ruins of your new-ish poop-flooded part of the city and your citizens all throughout your city will become poisoined and die.

Sure most of that has little to do with the whole city building thing most of the time but it tells me everything I need to know about their dedication to detail and sandbox mechanics.

This game has pretty much everything to offer you'd expect from a city building sim. the only thing missing is a motiviational element for the late game, such as catastrophes or else.
Content is constantly growing as the game offers map and asset builders for ever player.

This game managed to be everything I had hoped it would be and then some, with all the wonderful attention to little details and customization options. Fans of the genre wont want to miss this one.

Everything that Sims City promised and more

Building manual expansion was quite fun in new SimCity. Other than that - the game is really awesome. Graphics are way better than simcity and scale is so much larger...

a very good and interesting game.. the feature of this city building simulation is like no other, waay a lot better than it's rivals and with the help of steam workshop this game will be a heck of a joy.

also this game shows that the City building game genre is not dead and it's good to see that a lot of people are still interested with this game as much as my self.
