You may want to know this game is included with some distros, if it doesn't work here there's more chances installing it with your package manager.
Doesn't work by default (Ubuntu 12.10)! If run in a shell, it's clear why:
desura/common/chromium-bsu/bin/chromium-bsu: error while loading shared libraries: libGLC.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
After installing the package "libglc0" via Synaptic, it finally worked.
I think I remember playing this years ago on a school computer. I'd be great if I could try it out, but I'm running Linux and it won't launch. That really needs to be taken care of...
I had the same issue, fixed it by installing libglc.
If this doesn't solve it, you can find the location where the game was installed (probably desura/common/chromium-bsu) and start the game directly from the console. The error message should contain a hint.

somewhat annoying with the knockback and losing lives if ships get past you, and the stage one boss took all my lives, but still pretty fun. (all this happened on normal difficulty even, and I'm pretty sure I'm better at STG's than *that*)
already play this one a lot of time ago (maybe jaunty jackalope distro) and i can play it on DJL platform too ! lol
This is a nice shmup i have played a lot, very nice to see it in Desura.
Did not run for me after installing on linux, might need to be looked at.
As far as 'mouse-controlled' shmups go, this is no La Soeur De Barrage (which is also free).
Decent for a free game I'd say.. I'd have to agree with previous posters.
