Blaze is a retro/minimalistic styled sci-fi first person flight/shooter action game. The game can be played almost single handedly with just mouse. It's about shooting a lot of alien things (in semi-randomized missions?). The alien things are trying capture all your base, and have already captured at least half of it. You have to defend the base and capture the alien controlled areas back. Or something like that...
Testing how things look in actual software.
I also tested how Quake1 & 2 style UV mapping works. So much easier to do the UV mapping in the 3D view when I know which vertices/faces I'm editing. I make a duplicate of the model and then place/move the things in it as if it was the UV map, then do planar Front/Back mapping, and copy/paste the UV map to the original model. Takes like 30 minutes or less.
The player is model back to what it used to be with the jetpack thing, and is 614 tris. The earlier one was 876, and the one before that was 846. The weapon is just 206 tris, the earlier one was 650. Maybe it could have had a bit more detail left into the model. Neither model is properly textured, they just have the basic colors and AO.
