A series of older map modes that I have made, from aoe3.heavengames.com. These include: Duchess Carolina, Fun Map Set, General's Maps, Governor's Dany's Maps (1v1, 2v2 maps), Governor's Maps, Governor's Maps 2, Governor's NE Maps (from Napoleonic Era), Governor's Orleans Carolina, New Orleans Carolina, Railroad Carolina, The Legend Map Set.
I have uploaded these files from aoe3.heavengames.com to give other players access to them from a more public site.
All of the map modes described here are extra unit, extra resources, and some like Legend Maps have trigger changes on map.
Duchess Carolina: 50 Settlers, no bonus res, 1 TC
Fun Maps: 16 Maps, 15-30k res, 90-100 Villagers, 50-60 Military Units, 2-3 TCs
General's Maps: 16-20 Maps, no bonus res, 100-110 Villagers, 20-100 Military Units, 1 TC
Governor's Dany's Maps: 30-45k res, 90-100 Villagers, 4-5 Towers, 4-5 TCs, 25 Buccaneers, 3-4 Dock Wagons, (1v1, 2v2 Maps only)
Governor's Maps, Governor's Maps 2: 30-45k res, 90-100 Villagers, 4-5 Towers, 4-5 TCs, 10 Mercenaries, 3-4 Dock Wagons

Click "Custom Maps" in Skirmisher or Multiplayer to Select.
AI needs to start in Colonial Age on maps that start with Military, in order to build military units for later in the game. Starting in Colonial Age also is a good way to play games without a Treaty.
