ABOUT THE GAME:
STATUS: More of a work on when I feel like it at the moment...
173, is a Independent Horror game being developed by one man, who may or may not be me. If you are interested in reading things here is a quick description of the game and what I intend to achieve:
Based in the SCP universe, although I do believe my story to be strictly Non canon to those of you out there who are SCP lore savants. (Don't worry I try and stay true to the series the best I can) You are a fisherman who has run out of fuel and has had to row his boat to shore and beached himself in an attempt to refuel, strangely the boats UHF radio has picked up some interesting radio chatter being broadcast.
For those in the know regarding the SCP universe, you know who SCP 173 is and what he is capable of. If you've played games like SCP Containment Breach you've got a general Idea what you'll be in for, but this time we're not in a facility, we're in the great outdoors! Taking place at night with only what you find as a light source, you can start to formulate what this game will be about as I try an be a little original and not just remake an existing game.

AboutDEV:
As this is my first game, as well as being all by my little lonesome I'm always listening to opinions, feedback and criticisms (provided it's done civilly. (I'm looking at you comments section!)) But I do want to make a great game, and to do that I believe listening to the people that play the game is a bloody amazing place to start!
I update the game "173" more in depth(and more sensually!) on my youtube found here: Youtube.com
Finally if there's is anything on this page, grammatical or missing information, feel free to send me a message or send it via pigeon!

I am using the information and lore surrounding the "SCP Foundation" Universe which I do not own or intend to derive profit from. Don't supported on my PC T-T
DirectX9 GPU (Shader Model 2.0) is required.
Your GPU (Intel(R) G33/G31 Express Chipset Family)
only supports Shader Model 2.0
Cool game, nice map, and bugs. So i did a LP of this game a few days ago and the first attempt i died. Second attempt, the game bugged out and would not spawn SCP-173 and i completed one of the endings without seeing him. If you don't believe me, here is a link: Youtu.be
If you know a fix for this, let me know.

Here is my let's play of 173. I must say I really liked the atmosphere you made in this game, I was on edge the entire time I was playing it. keep up the good work man. :)
I hope not to be too much of a critic. This is good, but the stereotypical "find the [insert thing]" gets old. There needs to be more levels or something. Next, there should be a, well, more precise blink meter. (take SCP:CB for example.) Last, 173 should have a certain range. Just backing up and staring at it takes away the horror effect, but it can't just come up and snap your neck when you're not looking when it finds you. I hope this isn't too much, and that you can make these changes. Overall though, good game.
Critics are good, the objective is technically get item of your choosing and either use item to trap monster, or use item to escape, i did try and avoid the Easter egg hunt thing. I'm personally going to disagree with the even more precise blink meter. 173 he does actually have a range, which I might make shorter because your right, about the constantly looking back thing.
when i spawn i fall trough the ground into pinkness
What video card do you have? My video card isn't the best, and when I play a super HD game, it goes to pink too.
Sounds like a corrupt download, did you extract the files?
