Ergh these threads are getting annoying man, its one thing to make a thread its another to make a poll that makes no sense.... --

You got a new page for conspiracies. Why don't you keep the dialogue just there, to those that are more receptive? |

This is another thread - about WikiLeaks. Plus an example of how American soldiers mistake cameras for guns. ;-[ What's wrong with it? O.o The 4th option was just a joke. = ] People joke about conspiracy theorists, but not about the government, especially the corrupt one. Why not joke about it? Don't I have right to do that? |

the thing is, you make a thread for every thing you put in your blog, so they mean that you -- °w° |

Why? It's about Collateral Damage and only WikiLeaks? O.o Would I have to discuss Moddb & IGN in a single thread? O.o So why I need to discuss 'conspiracy theories' and leaks of gov't documents in single thread? They are different topics. |
||
|
Apr 18 2010 Anchor | |
because in the end they handle the same subject matter -- °w° |
||
Apr 18 2010 Anchor | ||
Yeah, but what if I wanted to discuss IGN and Moddb policies separately? O.o And Wiki leaks aren't any 'conspiracy theories', Mr. Sigma. :-D They are factual facts. So they aren't the same category. It's like you'd mistake RPGs (REAL RPGs, i.e. paper and pencil ones) with cRPGs and computer games. |
||
Apr 18 2010 Anchor | ||
when you said real RPGs i thought you meant rocket propelled grenade launcher. lol |

still, your making a topic about every single thing, can't you just keep it too one? :p -- °w° |

I can see how they thought it was a rpg, they ran along the walls n kneeled down, the fact they kept on shooting was pretty messed up. As for wikileaks i have enough shit to worry about than what the government wants or is doing to people, life is too short to worry about shit you can't control, it may seem defeatist or I'm part of the problem but we all deal with stuff differently. |
||
Apr 18 2010 Anchor | ||
The problem is they shouldn't even start shooting... also, shouldn't they keep in touch with journalists?
Yeah. It's the commonest argument, but I think it's the most reasonable one so far. We could make gov't activities more transparent, or at least demand from them more transparency. Detailed public reports, for example. But then the issue of security, the real security, not some terrorist BS (propaganda), comes up. To solve this problem you need to give gov't more power, e.g. more cameras everywhere... and it always can be abused one way or another. |

That video was edited to get the most political impact from the viewer, they do not mention the ak-47, and 2 RPG found in the initial group. Wikileaks is not straight unbiased facts. Why do you think they offer the edited version and the regular version? the one you linked here was the edited version. Look here: (Ignore the first part about Colbert even thought he makes a great point about it being biased) and this: Specifically this video showing things that Wikileaks left out: War is not pretty. Could be just the fact that they are morons. |

The guys with RPGs and AK's were running "security detail" for the reporters ... In the end it just made them targets due to the suspicious activity and weapons in the group ... To be honest I would of probably made the same call to shoot at them, There were alot of split second decisions made and they went through the proper procedure to request permission to open fire. The military didn't know there were reporters in the area, and the helicopter pilots saw a group of people walking around with AK's and RPGs? You pretty much have to decide whether It just happened they were innocent ... but don't kid yourself, its a war ... made all the brutaler due to the guerilla tactics Al-Qaeda use ... |

In addition it's 2007, not a happy year to be a soldier walking around in Iraq. Helicoptor pilots repeatedly asked for ground troops to investigate and it seemed like no one was nearby. They did what they had to. |
