I'm looking to register a .com and get some hosting for the mod I'm working on, and I want to know if any of you know any good web hosting/domain registers that you've had personal experience with in the past.
I'm thinking about going with MelbourneIT, mostly because they look really professional, and if I’m paying for web hosting I want reliable servers.

So what's your advice? Any companies you've been pleased/disappointed with in the past?

GoDaddy.com, has some of the cheapest domain names on the net. There web hosting is great too, although their cpanel is a little confusing.

Thanks for that, I've just had a look at their site and they're by far the cheapest reliable host I've come across. I'll probably be going with them :)

I'll put my backing behind Spector's reccommendation.. I haven't hosted with them, but the domain name and emails I've bought from them have worked great.

Dreamhost are pretty good, you get plenty of bandwidth and space for minimal costs. There are occasionally some downtimes, but for 10 bucks US a month they're hard to go past

LCN are great for smaller websites, 100MB Max.
They may not be the cheapest but they have great servers and good support
