The One Squadron is the only fighter squadron worth talking about. They're the best of the best; the most respected of the esteemed; the most heroic of heroes of our age. To become the member of the One Squadron is the highest possible honor for any pilot.
The squadron was formed as the 26th Apocalypse squadron, but extraordinary men cannot be offended by an ordinary squadron designation. By dropping the ordinal number 26th, and adopting the number "one," they were elevated from the ranks of traditional squadrons into a distinctive category. No other fighter squadron in human history was given a cardinal number as its designation. Before long, they earned a nickname that glorifies them even further: The One and Only Squadron.
These lion-hearted warriors must be regarded and treated as renowned custodians of public interest, saviors of human lives and material resources. The mere presence of the One Squadron on the battlefield imbues fear into the hearts of all enemies that have the deserving misfortune of combating them.
Does the One Squadron employ a specific combat spacecraft? Also, do you mind clarifying what you mean by "military" and "character-driven" branches?
The One Squadron uses Ulysses fighters, which are highly maneuverable interceptor fighters, with high primary and shield recharge rate, and some self-repair capabilities.
As for the branches: At one point in the campaign, you will select which branch you'd like to continue with. Either branch will produce a different outcome.
Do these Ulysses use alternate table entries?
Yes and no. Yes, in the sense that there will be an alternate version for mission balance purposes. No, in the sense that the "default" Ulysses will be available to the player since a later point in the campaign.
Is the model reskinned via texture replacement to represent the position of this elite squadron?
No reskin.
