Post feature Report RSS POLL: Including PUREWAR mode as part of no crates

The idea being, no crates also means no Special Powers or Super Weapons.

Posted by on

So, the basic idea

Starting a Skirmish with the 'add random crates' button set to 'off' would mean that crates would not appear.
In this case, Super Weapons would also be turned off along with Special Support Powers.
In this instance, the term 'PURE WAR' would apply.

So why are we suggesting this

As we all know, the AI can't handle more than one MCV as such.

When an AI acquires a new MCV, one of two things happen.

IF: The MCV IS of the same faction, it is seen as part of Build Queue 1
IF: Starting MCV is destroyed, the crate MCV that already existed is used as Build Queue 1
However
IF: The MCV IS NOT of the same faction, it is seen as an outpost
IF: Starting MCV is destroyed, a new MCV will made regardless of if the AI then finds a new MCV

Another reason

We also are aware that Super-weapons are not something that the AI refrains from.

This has been noted as annoying to a lot of people.

To top it off

The AI uses Special Powers even when it can't see your base.

Not to mention, some people don't even use them anyway.

All that said, what now

We are asking the public what is best for now (until we can get multiple buttons).

Polls close as soon as we either get to August or have enough votes to brake a tie.

THE OPTIONS

Option one: The button controls Crates, Super-Weapons and Special Powers
Option two: The button controls Crates, Super-Weapons and Non-Supportive Special Powers
Option three: The button only controls Crates and Super-Weapons
Option four: The button only controls Crates and Special Powers
Option five: The button stays as-is, controlling only crates

Please note: These changes will also effect Command and Conquer Dawn of Time.

Why not make buttons for all these features separately?
If i really need to chose i would pick option 2, because special powers are a part of pure war, i mean that you could have allies and can get reinforcements through radio station.

We are unable to to find out how to add these as separate buttons.
Otherwise, that is exactly what we would of done.

If we had someone who could inform us on how to sort that out, then we would do that.

I have edited the above to incorporate Non-Supportive Special Powers separately.

At this time your original vote:
The button only controls Crates and Super-Weapons
Has been accepted.
If you believe the new option:
The button controls Crates, Super-Weapons and Non-Supportive Special Powers
better suits your opinion, let me know.
