Orcs of Angband
Angband, the Hell of Iron, was Melkor’s chief fortress in northern Beleriand after the destruction of Utumno. Upon his return to Middle Earth after the destruction of the Two Trees, Melkor made Angband the seat of his power and fortified it by raising the peaks of Thangorodrim above it. In the shadowy vaults of Angband the hideous race of the Orc had multiplied in secret, awaiting the return of the Dark Lord. It is from this indomitable bastion of his power that the fallen Vala, known ever after as Morgoth, would periodically launch invasions of Beleriand in an attempt to conquer it and fulfill his desire to dominate all lands east of the sea.
The self-styled « King of Arda » realized early on that his Orcs unaided were no match for the First Born and their allies the Edain. In the pits of Angband, Morgoth bred all manner of monstrosities and thus do the orcish armies of Angband march forth to war well supported by Trolls and Dragons. The Valaraukar, Balrogs, demons of flame and terror, march at the head of black columns of the soldiery of Angband, instilling mortal dread in the hearts of those who would oppose the designs of Morgoth. In addition to devastating beasts of war, Angband disposes of the largest, most well rounded Orc armies available in Silmarillion: Total War. In addition, because of their access to sleepless forge complexes, Angband Orcs have base armor values that rival that of the Noldor and many units have armor and weapon upgrade options available to them at a reduced price.
The majority of Angband armies are drawn from their expansive selection of mid tiers. The Ironshod Orc units bring offer a flexible array of halberdiers, Swordsmen, crossbowmen, and 1/2h axemen to the Morgoth’s military machine. Many monsters also march beneath the banners of Angband: Balrogs, spirits of fire corrupted into Morgoth’s service in the time before Arda, are the most fearsome of Morgoth’s servants. They serve as front line beacons of power around which the armies of Morgoth rally. Powerful though they are, the Balrogs are not indestructible.
To ensure their longevity, Angband players have the option to bring up to two units of Trollguard of Gothmog. These heavily armored trolls can be used alongside the Balrogs as bodyguards, or elsewhere on the battlefield in support of the Ironshod legions.;Lesser spirits there are in the service of Angband. Naisu forced into the shape of monstrous Orcs. These are the Boldogs, blasphemous fusions of fallen Maiar and Orcish Hroar, they tower above the rank and file Orcs. They are formed into elite companies and unleashed on Morgoth’s foes, leaving destruction and ruin in their wake.; Finally, there are the Urulóki, the Fire Drakes, the serpents of Morgoth. The model for the drake is currently a work in progress and we’ll likely be using placeholders for some time. More to come on them at a later date.

Scary! Nice
They look pretty heavy. I hope this are top tier Orcs and not low level ones ^^
Correct. Mid and High Tiers. Most factions will have 12-15 units so there are a few low tier fodder for Angband left to go.
Exactly right. These are mid and high tier units exclusively
Yeah, I believe those are just the high tiers (except the ironshod units, they look middle tier). Looks so good though!
