NOTE: If anyone can translate unit names into Yucatec Mayan, any help would be greatly appreciated!
Like the other Americans, the Maya have much larger unit sizes than most factions. Their troops move quickly due to their lighter equipment, and skill-wise are on par with their counterparts from the Old World, meaning they can easily outmaneuver and overwhelm their opponents. However, their lack of heavy armour makes them more vulnerable to missiles and flanking attacks, and they have a severe lack of cavalry and artillery. Compared to the other American factions, the Maya will lean more towards a defensive playstyle, with formidable spearmen and archers, while lagging slightly behind in terms of melee and shock infantry and javelinmen.
