- More Wonders for Rome. Since Rome is a rising power, the number of Wonders exclusive to Rome has been increased, reflecting the role of Rome in this mod not just as a hard power user, but also as a source of soft power (more W diplomatic clout in PvP).
- New factions. Since this mod takes place right after the Punic Wars, a lot of Greek factions are gone. On the other hand, newer antagonists to Rome such as Galatia, Israel and Illyria are playable.
- No reliance on scripting. This was done because custom scripts were known to crash multiplayer games for RoN:EE.
- Completed balance.x file. Thanks to MHLoppy who confirmed that balance.x usage in Ron:EE was flawed. We rewrote the file so as to create different strengths and weaknesses of different units - for instance, chariots are ineffective against horse cavalry, and suffer insta-death, if attacked by pike or elephant units.
- All that is left is CtW....
