The lighting system is bad. At least, now, they provide shadows and in their Adam demo, there are volumetrics.

Many parts are overtly complicated, but its easier than Unreal.

The probability of a memory overload when producing detailed levels is too high.

The advantages of Unity are: +You can build for nearly all major plattforms +Easy to learn +Great assets pipeline, which supports most 3D packages +Great and helpful community and hundreds of useful tutorials +Good documentation +A big fund as backbone.
