The team of Tsardoms Total War proudly presents the brand new 1448 Campaign - Fall of Constantinople. This is a brand new mod which moves the Tsardoms campaign to the time of Vlad the Impaler, John Hunyadi, Skanderbeg and of course the epic battles for Constantinople.
The team of Tsardoms Total War proudly presents the brand new 1448 Campaign - Fall of Constantinople. This is a completely new mod folder and is separate from the 1345 campaign, it must be installed separately and run separately. You can have both 1448 and 1345 campaigns installed at the same time. The 1448 campaign uses the 1345 mod as base but has the map expanded in the North and has several new factions while old factions that no longer existed were removed. The units are generally the same as 1345 but they start with their XVth century upgrade. Some factions have had
We have tried to stay as close to historical reality as possible within game limitations and also gameplay considerations. Huge amounts of time and research have gone into creating the units, factions, unit descriptions and faction descriptions. We would like our mod to be used as a reference for the time period and be a fully playable historical simulation. That being said we are always open to criticism and will endeavour to fix any inaccuracies or any issues raised.
Installation
This is a separate mod folder and separate mod from the 1345 campaign
- Download the mod
- Unpack the mod in the Mods folder of your Medieval 2 Total War folder. PLEASE ENSURE YOU UNPACK IN THE MODS FOLDER NOT THE MAIN MEDIEVAL 2 FOLDER
- Steam installation: follow the same instructions as above, than go into Steam right click on the Medieval 2 Kingdoms game, go to Properties, then go to Set Launch Options and replace what is there with the following --features.mod=mods/Fall_of_Constantinople_1.5
Basically for Steam the actual name of the Tsardoms folder and executable file must be there
There is a line in Medieval 2 (not tsardoms) preference file: disable_events. This should line should always be disable_events=0

If you have contributed to the mod or your materials were used and you are not listed in the credits please contact us. The mod has been in development for over a decade and there have been dozens of people working on it so it is possible that it might have been omitted or the team member that used the materials left the mod without letting us know.
Permission to use materials
We have a fairly open policy in regards to permission to use materials. First and foremost we will give permission to use our materials to any mod team that has given us help or that have given us their materials. After that we are happy to trade our units and materials to anyone that will be happy to share their materials with us. If your mod has nothing we need we can still give permission to use the materials. Historical mods will get permission first and only later we will give permission to fantasy mods as we would like to encourage the creation of historical simulations first and foremost. We will deny permission to use materials if we believe your mod is either purposefully not historical or has other issues. Also, permission to use, modify or take parts of our units is given on a faction by faction basis depending on the original creator. Also, some factions or units (such as the Magyar infantry units) come from other mods and as such permission is not ours to give and you must contact the original creators. Please ask Wallachian for permission to use and he will confirm whether it is given or not.
If no member of the team has been active in the forum for more than 6 months and has not replied for more than 6 months we give permission to anyone to use our mod and materials.
Future Plans
We have two big plans going forward: first is to create unit upgrades for all of the factions so that they all have units that fit the XV century. Factions like Sicily, Ragusa, Serbia, Bosnia, Crimea, Karamanids could use with a revamp of their units and the addition of more upgrades. Also, factions like Epirus, Wurttemberg, Ferrara could use more customisation to make them more unique and interesting. The second plan is to create historical events and customisation for each faction. For example, Bosnia, Serbia, Austria, Bavaria could all use more historical events and scripts to make them more fun. Third is to port all of the new features to the 1345 campaign and create the ultimate Tsardoms experience going from 1345 to 1530 with all the added units, scripts, characters and so on (of course except the new factions which can not be added to 1345).
In order to achieve all of the above we need help from the community. It took almost 2 years to create the 1448 campaign due to the limited manpower. So we are looking for both modders and also researchers that can help us to write events, research characters and speed up the process. Without the community help we won't be able to realise any of the above.
YESSSS, THANK YOU!!!!
Looks cool.
wassup lemming :v
Cannot wait to play! Easily the highest quality mod out there for Med2, hats off to the whole team for their hard, hard work!!!!!
THANKS!!!!
Cool news!
Amazing! And this is out just as I was watching Rise of Empires: Ottomans!
Did you manage to fix the music btw? Custom music is a big part of the experience...
Well there was nothing to fix since the music wasn't broken. It was just vanilla music. We have a whole package of custom music but we need someone to actually code it and implement it.
I see....guess I'll just have a period playlist on YouTube. Vanilla music is pretty out of place.
I'm sure i'm hearing custom music in the mod 🤔 such as that song from Last of the Mohicans, The Gael ?
Wait, what???? Out already????
Fr! It's out already! I just read some comment from the dev some weeks ago saying they had no clue on the release date and that they're amateurs and now this lovely surprise!
Thank's so much for your hard work Wallachian, you're the best!
when the war is over i get a fatal graphic error how can this be fixed
Are you using 4gb patch?

How to hire wagon forts?
Only certain factions have those i think, also you may need an Historic event to trigger before you can get those.
The long awaited campaign is finally here
Keeps crashing after ending turn 1 :(
Are you using 4gb patch?
Finally!! I think that now I have work translating this to the spanish jajaja
Haha thats a big job
They forgot to fix the Teutonic defense again )))
Imtw.ru
Theres nothing to fix. The defense is low because of:
mace defense 3 + elite mounted 1 - impetuous 1 - reckless 2
Its according to RR/RC system
Fantastic work! Just one suggestion: could the text in the info boxes be changed to a darker font? It's currently very light against the background making it hard to read. Thanks for the great mod.
YEEEESS PLEEEASE. Its actually painful to read the small fonts :')
Ingame description text colour is hardcoded, but font size can be changed - as well as the background.
I've made my fixes to 2.2 previously, I'll see
Now this is epic.
For some reason I can't start the game, it crashes when trying to open it, I installed in mod folders and then ran the 4GB Patcher to the bat
Congratulations on the new release!! I do have a question, are there any plans to continue working on the original campaign, more specifically to add flavor and content to the Hussite wars, i've long wanted to see content focused around them and you guys are running one of the few mods set in the time period. A small map expansion around bohemia wouldn't hurt :)
Yes we will return to the original campaign and add all the stuff we added to the 1448 campaign. There are already a tonne of events for the Hussite wars though. So we probably won't focus on that. The map can't be changed as we are at province limit.
firstly thank you all. you had done a great job. actually I think tsardoms best mod of all times.
can't wait to see original campaign.
ps. please fix the kayser-i rum ancillary for original camp.
Using 4gb patch and game crashes constantly during loading :(
Also getting crashes when I click on something in the campaign :(

Hi.
Im having problems with the download. It says its downloaded 3.7gb but wont clear. As in its saying unconfirmed in my download file. I have almost every mod for MTW2 never a problem downloading all from here. Any ideas anyone? I have the original Tsardoms also no problem. Thank you.
Hi buddy, i had same issue however still extracted at the end and landed and everything works fine. Kept hitting pause resume, pause resume didnt help. BUT just figured i guess its finished and extracted everything- it extracted full amount of Gigs and works.
Just a question i was wondering if you reach 1530 does the campaign end completely or can you continue after 1530
Yeap you can continue after 1530 you just wont get any new stuff
Hi. So it finally downloaded properly and i put it in the mods folder. Game launches but i have no campaigns. When i click either Main Campaign or Other Campaigns it tells me to pick an item from the list. Very confused downloaded tons of mods. Can anybody help? Should be a very simple process.....
I get the following error from the Tsardoms log, [system.io] [info] exists: missing mods/Fall_of_Constantinople_1.5/preferences/player.txt
Everything else is there just no campaigns.
Never seen this issue before. I would suggest redownloading and reinstalling. It should work perfect
I had no CTD/issue so far I'm playing as the Roman Empire.
I have a question tho, It seems that I cannot recruit Merchants agents. Is it meant to be this way or something bugged? I see venetian and genoese merchants on my lands, I was wondering why I can't recruit them myself.
It's fine btw, it's just a doubt of mine.
This is the best and most enjoyable Medieval 2 total war mod of all times!
Glad you enjoy it. Yes its always been like this in Tsardoms. Only merchant republics have access to merchants.
This mode is great but campaign crashes after a few turns and has to be restarted every time. Also I can't unpack 4 files:
Fall_of_Constantinople_1.5\data\bovi\target\kotlin\coroutines\intrinsics\ IntrinsicsKt__IntrinsicsJvmKt$createCoroutineUnintercepted$$inlined$create CoroutineFromSuspendFunction$IntrinsicsKt__IntrinsicsJvmKt$1.class
Fall_of_Constantinople_1.5\data\bovi\target\kotlin\coroutines\intrinsics\ IntrinsicsKt__IntrinsicsJvmKt$createCoroutineUnintercepted$$inlined$create CoroutineFromSuspendFunction$IntrinsicsKt__IntrinsicsJvmKt$2.class
Fall_of_Constantinople_1.5\data\bovi\target\kotlin\coroutines\intrinsics\ IntrinsicsKt__IntrinsicsJvmKt$createCoroutineUnintercepted$$inlined$create CoroutineFromSuspendFunction$IntrinsicsKt__IntrinsicsJvmKt$3.class
Fall_of_Constantinople_1.5\data\bovi\target\kotlin\coroutines\intrinsics\ IntrinsicsKt__IntrinsicsJvmKt$createCoroutineUnintercepted$$inlined$create CoroutineFromSuspendFunction$IntrinsicsKt__IntrinsicsJvmKt$4.class
That's just some mod tools. Ignore it. You dont need that.
Are you using the 4gb patch?
