The full version of Tiberian Sun + Client version 5.30, including single-player campaign videos.
To install, simply extract the ZIP file into an empty directory. Afterwards, run TiberianSun.exe to play.
really cool version of tiberian sun but how do i change the gamespeed? When i change the gamespeed in the options it does not sve the change and just stays at "faster".
How the game runs is very system-specific, so there's no exact instructions we can give for the perfect performance.
But, go to the client Options menu, Display settings, and try changing the Renderer setting. Try each Renderer in both fullscreen mode and borderless windowed mode, and you'll most likely find at least one combination that works properly.
I downloaded version 4.08 by mistake but when I Save a game, the menu becomes invisible. Only way to reveal is to press Tab & cycle through /w arrow keys --but it's very annoying. I tried everything, but it's messed up --before I had trouble /w screen flickering to desktop issues, but that's gone now. I was forced to use IE_Draw but the game lagged\ stalled when I scrolled --Luckily it works fine now [on DDraw] /w all my Desktop Enhancements apps disabled (Cursor FX et. al.) I will try this latest version tonight. I love your work & I'm very grateful for it: Cheats in Skirmish, support for 1366 x 768, videos which I downloaded --all in all, this is awesome !
What do you think if you add the two very first demo missions of TS ? You know when we have to play with the GDI ?
That is very hard to find these missions and hard that they work correctly.
Hello. I have a little problem since I cannot add personnal maps in the game. I mean I can add them in the file but they do not appear in the menu in-game. I have just "original maps" and "fan maps". Do you know why ?
Thanks for this. Works a lot better than the Origin version, for sure. But the menu is extremely finicky. Sometimes it takes forever to save, and after saving, the menu disappears. I can force the bottom part out by tapping the arrow keys so I can hit the resume button. Sometimes it'll still throw a hissy fit and freeze for a while until the menu decides to show up again.
I can live with that, but in another mission, the menu stopped working completely. Nothing happened when I hit esc or clicked the menu button. Since it has no auto save, I lost an entire campaign mission because of it. I gambled that it would start working again in the next mission, since it plays FMV's, shows the credits screen and whatnot in between. I lost that gamble.
Is there any fix for this? I've tried different kinds of renders, different resolutions (running 1366x768 - native res 2560x1440 is way too high for this game, I think), tried compatibility mode (XP SP3) and the option "back buffer in video memory". Nothing seems to work. Running Windows 8.1.
Sounds like windowed mode with the different renderers is the only possible solution you haven't tried yet.
If the menu works in one mission it shouldn't be possible for it to just suddenly stop working on other missions though, maybe there was some graphics driver / OS update or you changed some setting when it stopped working?
Hello Rampastring,
there is a strange bug in the Nod Mission 3 of FS, where you have to kill Tratos. It just says mission failed instantly at the beginning of the mission.
btw thanks alot for all the effort you put in your Mods, cheeryo
Sorry to bother you but I'm having a issue using the Full Client, when I launch the game nothing happens. If I try it with the Game.exe it gives me an Unable to initialize Language.dll, please reinstall Tiberian Sun.
Am I potetially missing any dependencies? I didn't originally have Tiberian sun installed. I am using the latest install of Windows 10 x64
The client (TiberianSun.exe) only needs .NET Framework versions 2.0 through 4.0. Windows 10 usually installs them automatically when you run the client (if they aren't installed already).
Absolutely awesome work, I had purchased this for Origin, but the thing would not work and the effort to try and make it work was too much of an effort for me.
Glad someone can release a game and make sure it works on all systems.
I do have one problem I've encountered in the campaign mode, every time I save my game then freezes and it's forcing me to shut down the game and to then load it back up again.
It can be a bit inconvenient/time-consuming, don't know if that's something that is fixable?
The game isn't actually frozen, the pause menu is there but it's invisible. If you can remember (or guess) the position of the "Resume Mission" button, you can click on it and the game will continue as usual.
You can also try to change the Renderer in the options menu, you should particularly give a try to the DDrawCompat renderer that's included in the latest update. It fixes the menu issues for some people.
I apologize for the inconvenience. You can fix it by performing the following steps:
1) Download Renderers.ini from Rampastring.cnc-comm.com and place it into the "Resources" directory inside your TS directory
2) Do the same for ddrawcompat.dll, available from Rampastring.cnc-comm.com
Im running it through VMware Fusion on a mac. This is the closest to getting a command and conquer application running. Im on High Sierra and the mac versions dont work. This client on VMware Fusion, has issues with sound. Its all glitchy. I feel like crying. Ive spent 5 days on trying to get something to work.
TS:FS disc installs had unique cyborg death sounds before all-in-ones like TFD became popular, the sounds were still on the TFD disc, but wouldn't execute upon destruction of 'borgs. Has this function been restored?
I'm getting internal errors when I try to load save games. And internal errors ar e also quite frequent on skirmishes. The error log alway say 'integer divded by zero' something like that
hi. downloaded this and it took a fair while to extract on a windows vista laptop.
as soon as you click the icon to run it just come up with an instant error as it cant find a voice file and to reinstall it. you dont actually install it though you just extract the files. other versions have an installer downlosad, why doesnt this?
I cannot get the client to work in the resolutions that I set. I want the client itself to run at 1920x1080 and the game to run internally at 1024x576 stretched to 1920x1080. The options menu doesn't allow me to change to these resolutions and fiddling with the SUN.INI file didn't work either. Is there a someone who can help me? This guy got it working exactly like I want it to: Youtube.com
Is there any way to execute this with wine for mac os x ? I have it working with cncnet and wine but haven't been able to run this mod version correctly
I have a problem with this game now to were once i open up the game to play it once i close it after im done playing it the sound of the game is still playing even tho i quit the game and it wont let me open it back up unless i restart my computer and its annoying how i have to restart my computer in order to re-open up the game again and to stop the in game music from playing even tho i closed out the game.

That's a bug. Thanks for reporting it, I'll fix it later today.
The bug has been fixed in version 5.31. The client will update 5.30 to 5.31 automatically (if you have automatic updates enabled).
its failing to update(
Fantastic work, thanks a lot for this!
Does it run properly on Window10 64bit?
Yes. I'm actually running Windows 10 x64 myself.
How do I set the options when running on Window10?
I want to explain in detail!
When running in full screen, the screen sometimes stops.
Can you add a map generator to the game?
No, that'd be technically very hard and time consuming, so not worth it.

It still turns invisible (the menu) after Saving a game !

Thanks !
Make sure that your maps are in the \Maps\Custom\ directory and that they have a .map file extension.
In my case, the game does not recognize .mpr file extension. Only .map.

It include also units/maps from Firestorm expansion? Or can I add it into this mod (mean Firestorm if isnĀ“t include in this)?
Firestorm is included.

I'll take a look at it.

New update, version 5.42 crashes the game before the lobby screen loads. (version 5.4 was working fine)

Ignore this. It was because of my draw settings. Im going to try to fiddle with it to get it better. However at the moment, it is working.
Does this inclued firestorm?
Never mind. Found out it does

This is so great! Only thing I really miss is non-cheating AI in scrimish.
How do I move the game window to a different monitor?
It just gets stuck on the edge.
Thank you for making and sharing this, it's so much more stable :)
