Indeed, it is here, my custom version of some AI's in the Supcom 2 game!
IMPORTANT! Make a back-up of your original lua.scd file before you use my version!
Install instructions:
- Locate your Supreme Commander 2 installation,
- Open up the gamedata folder,
- Take a back-up of lua.scd, also possible is renaming this to Lua_old.scd as example,
- Paste my lua.scd in this folder, (replacing the old one if not given a new name).
I'd say, take a look at the changes yourself :)
Affected missions are:
- Illuminate: Mission 4 (hint: take out the air commander first :P)
- Cybran: Mission 4
And that's it at this time :( My options are very limited, not having access to a map editor of any sort like I have for FA. Also, the AI has a less significant role in this game than it had in FA. Now, scripts are used more often than an actual thinking AI. If you have a mission in which you want me to add a new army or change the others in some way, tell me!However, DO NOT ask me difficult things... Once again, I have not editor so I'm having a very hard time to create new attack paths and such :(
wait your the one that did the AI mod for FA? nice! if my supcom2 worked i would try this out!
If you are going to do an AI mod, then can you make one for Multiplayer against AI? Something that will be compatible with the Revamp stuff.
I don't really do skirmish AI, that is beyond my knowledge at this moment :(
Alright, well I know it would be a really useful mod cause the AI in this game are nothing compared to the Sorian AI in Forged Alliance.
The AI in SupCom2 was programmed by Sorian...
Doesn't change my comment. The AI is not as good in the second game. The game needs a new AI for those who play the game with the mods that make it like the previous SupCom. Next time do your homework before you reply to me.
Most of the AI in supcom2 is C++ based, which makes it unmodable.
