Beta Release version of Steam and Steel. Includes two world campaigns
***DONT PLAY OTHER CAMPAIGNS*** (they don't exist and are in another mod folder not yet available!)
The mod unfortunately doesn't have as much content as I was planning. I will, of course, add that content later, just limited by IRL stuff now.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
1.- Create a new folder for the mod, name it "steamsteel"
2.- Extract the files of the .rar file in the folder, then, move it to the "mods" folder.
3.- Double click the launcher, then, select the regular World Campaign (A) or the steampunk style one (Clockwork Empires, B)
4.- Enjoy!
Note: It's recommended to apply the 4GB patch to the game, to do this, open the executable (4gb_patch), and then, select your executable of the game (it can be kingdoms.exe or medieval2.exe).

Future of SS
I don't have much time to mod these days, but hopefully, in a month or two ill be much more involved. expect tons of new units for all the sub-campaigns and all the things mentioned above. We have lots of cool maps for theaters all around the world from central Asia for the great game to the scramble for Africa, and from the far east to the Americas; we also cant forget Europe which should last until the end of WW1! I also plan to improve the clockwork empires mod by adding a ton more steampunk units and zeppelins/tanks!

Hi, I like the idea and current state of the mod so far. Is there any reason why the two Japanese factions are missing almost all building options - mines, ports goverment buildings etc... Do I need to activate script or any other specific condition? Also, many settlements on the world map have wrong religios buiilding or wrong religion for the whole region. And I am sure you are aware of the UI bugs, missing textures etc...

Lucium Total War may be installed into the wrong folder."
how can we solve this?
Rename the folder to "steamsteel", also check that the executable of Medieval 2 is in the main folder of the game
Can you be more specific? I have a steamsteel folder in the main Medieval 2 folder with the mod in it. The laucher is a .bat file. THe main MTW2 .exe is in the main folder. Still says: ERROR: Cannot find the M2TW or Kingdoms executable.
Lucium Total War may be installed into the wrong folder.

The mod folder needs to be in the "mods" folder, not in the main folder of the game
If you don't have a mods folder, then you'll need to create it (in the main folder of the game) and put the steamsteel folder in it, that should do
Hi, I've a problem. The mod crashing often after a battle and the end of turn. Thank u.
The campaign is unstable rn, sorry to hear that, we are working to fix the bugs of it and prevent more CTDs
I've been trying to download the mod twice, both times when I unpack it says some files are missing from my temp folder.
Try to turn off the Antivirus (temporarily), maybe it's deleting some of the files
Or just give a special permission to the download and exclude it from antivirus scan
It has the same problem as Rise of Eagles mod? where the musket tactic doesn't work, since the MTW2 AI works with infantry charges and melee
No, it doesn't
Note: If your game crashes on Custom Battles, it could be because there are some factions like Morocco that have units with broken textures, or maybe because of elephants, silver surfers, etc
Be careful when selecting factions, cghopk is fixing the bugs around them
