LAA, highest on everything is perfectly viable.
oh, cool, most mods say to use (in descending order) High med low and highest on planet textures, and I turned off AA and shadows just to be safe. This one be one of the most stable mods
LAA helps greatly in any mod, all highest setting and not a single crash. Previously used that high-med-low setting you mentioned as well as a precaution.

Pretty sure that would be hard to put in the 2GB RAM limit. Also when this mod is done it will have at least 10 factions, and I sadly read somewhere 10 was the most you could have. :-/ I haven't tested it myself but it may well be true.

the only gripe i have with this mod is the fact that asteroids are uncolonizable, thus you can't even capture the resources available in the gravity well...so if you start out with asteroids being your neighbors, you're pretty much f'ed
Uh, standard asteroids should be colonizeable. Asteroid Belts/Fields are a standard uncolonizeable vanilla planet. If the gravity well has resource extractors already built in it, you need to capture them with a Tartan Patrol Ship.
ok, i didn't mean any offense as I love this mod, maybe I had some corrupt files somewhere. Attempting a full reinstall of game/mod just to eliminate issues. I'll let you know the results
I wasn't offended, just confused, as I've not made any normally colonizeable planet uncolonizeable.
Ok so I discovered the issue. It's a result of selecting the "competitive" version of maps, must be the game attempting to auto-balance the planets and resources available to each person. Thanks for the mod!

In game or on start up? If it is crashing randomly in game, try reducing your graphics (ship/structure/planet detail) detail and see if that helps.

It's not about your graphics card, its about the game's RAM limit.

How big of a map are you playing? If its a pretty large map make sure your settings are on high or lower. Save a game soon after you start. If it crashes, reload the save game and if it crashes again at about the same point, send the save to me.

Well, that is odd and important. Any idea if you're doing anything in particular that causes the crash? Most people have been playing Warlords yet they don't seem to be having problems.

Is there going to be another film like intro when powering up the game? In all of the other sins game we have a narrator telling us the basic things of the expansion or base set. Is it possible to make one for this mod? Voice overlaying Star Destroyers and Rebel ships. Doesn't even have to be "action like" I am more thinking just to explain. The Lore says that most of their information was received by an imperial officer at Endor. Maybe the voice could be his. Or anyone else who was there when the extra galactic invaders came. Give a little history of it all.
I would really like to do this (or at least a Star Wars style opening credits), but I sadly don't have any decent video making software at this time. If anyone wishes to make one for me I would gladly get it in game.
I have Sony Vegas (an editing software program) that works wonders when it comes to video projects. I will piece together shots of both Imperial and Rebel ships from the films and various games put to John Williams music from Star Wars. (Honestly what else would I use?) In addition I have connections with a local community theater that I work with on a common basis. I will begin looking through them and figuring out which I believe to the most "Imperial." This individual will (with permission) play the role of the Imperial officer that serves aboard the Executor who gave the information concerning the Battle of Endor. I may also (creator permitting) give this officer a name if he hasn't already been given one. The officer will narrate parts of the text scroll proposed by GoaFan77. It will give a time scale similar to the one that the TEC narrator does in the original game. After I am done I will send it if it is still desired. If it does not meet your sanctification. I can retry if that be your will or simply drop the project. Let me know and in the time between I am working on all of the pieces.

hey ive installed the game and followed the instructions and when i enable the mod made sure the enhanced was below the game and comes up with mini dump straight away bit of a pain as would really like to play the game =/
What's your checksum? You're sure you have Rebellion 1.82 and have no mods enabled besides E4X 1.74 and Interregnum?
I may be being stupid...but ive just DL'd the mod and installed it, and it runs and I get the E4X splash and everything looks ok (mods in the right order, the mods are enabled etc). but on picking race there are no options to pick and SWI races...
Interregnum has its own splash screen, as well as its own main menu and custom Star Wars/Sins music theme that plays in the main menu. If you're not getting that, then somehow its not installed right. :p What's your checksum?

Well, to be honest I'm totally stumped. O_o If your checksum is correct then that means the game should be reading the mod correctly. I suppose a bad download could do it, but if you've already tried a reinstall I don't know what to suggest. I guess you can try zipping what you have and sending it to me so I can look for any abnormalities.
