This is a standalone version - just unpack the files into the MTW2 mod folder and follow the installations instructions.

For some excitement (and information) before playing- various army-related mechanisms coded in the mod, advice on conducting diplomacy, a list of the unique buildings, a list of the regional buildings, examples of historical events, all complicated issues related to the crowns (then read in-game descriptions - it's not easy to get a crown!), or infos related to the provincial titles, ministerial offices, books, court ladies, African buildings and units, forts and watchtowers, siege machines. Beautiful pictures to be seen in the mod.
The jewel of coding in the mod is Dynamic Integration of Provinces (well, you can appreciate it if you do modding ;-). The most visible effects will be an additional unrest in the newely conquered settlements that will then subside very slowly, but steadily. The opportunities provided by coding situation in each settlement in each turn separately makes it fit to be used for other purposes, eg. uprisings or invasions (large like Catalan and Bedouin, small like Breton one). A counterpart of this script (or rather pre-counterpart) is the code defining what happens after a conquest of each province (re-naming of the settlement, getting buildings damaged, spawning rebel armies of loyalists with proper composition - this should be a speed bump for your conquests).
The issue of Usurpers / Regents appearing too often - and the prevalence of civil wars bursting out in the wake of such unfortunate succession - is limited if you choose the Next Heir script that is included now in the mod. Mongols will be able to create large empire but should be somewhat limited and thus beat-able by the player. The AI agents should appear in reasonable quantities, and the college of the cardinals should be constantly peopled (well, to be seen). Be aware how do the difficulty levels differ, and what bonuses do the AI factions get. Which faction to chose if you're new to the mod? Some discussion is here. If you're bothered by technical issues ("the mod opens in a small window..."), refer to this thread. The turn times shouldn't be very long, after optimisation work on the scripts.

I don't think there is a virus. Technically it's not impossible that some of the modders will have a virus on his computer, but very low probability. I can say 100% that we don't intend it. Maybe LAA program causes a false warning.

Hi! I installed and extracted the files correctly. The launcher starts fine but after starting a campaign, id like to make a save but the game crashes. Do you know how can i fix it? There´s been no exception to this error, always crashes :(

Guys, for those who have crashes - read the installation instruction and the video in the comments above: Youtu.be . Probably LAA program is necessary if you experience any crashes. If you install it properly you may have one crash for any 200 turns more or less.. The mod is stable in general.
For those who have antivirus alarms - that the allergic reaction for exactly LAA and other small tools that are included in the installation files, there are no cracks or anything like this.
2 Issues. Every time I start this mod, I have to customize my graphic options again cause they were resetted.
In first turn Serbia Campaign after I marry my princess to a byzantine guy the game crashes.
the first thing - there are two .cfg files - one in the mtw2 folder and one in the mod folder. Check which one has the right settings and which one overrides the other, you may have to set the file attributes to 'read only'.

Try to switch off the compatibility mode with whatever previous version of win.. In my case it speeds up the turns a lot

There is just an early campaign for now, starting 1132.
Hey, fantastic mod, I just god the new SSHIP_098 the other day, and tried the danish faction, works fine, did battles, no problem.
today I wanted to try out the spanish, I siege pamplona, next turn they attack me, I go into loading menu, it crashed, I try to attack myself, it crashes when I go into loading menu.
I unzipped the files from the rar into my steam mods folder, did the LAA, did the map cleaner.
Anyone else has this issue?
Tried a fresh install of medieval 2, didnt work, just tried and it still crashes when I try to attack after sieging.
It sounds like an issue with some of the units that take part in the battle, please contact us on twcenter..
