All you have to do is make sure you have .NET Framework 4.5.1 or newer. The installer for 4.5.1 is the link above.
This is the first update to the compelx/Revamp Supreme Commander 2 Mod Manager. Contact compelx if you have any questions or issues.
What's New?
If this is a fresh install then simply extract the contents to a folder of your choice and open up SC2ModManager.exe
If you're upgrading then download this zip file, extract the contents, and replace all of your old files with these new ones. Upon launching SC2ModManager.exe your settings YML and database should be automatically updated with the new changes - it's that simple.
This Mod Manager does not work directly with .SCD files. It requires mod authors create .SC2 packages with the included SC2Creator.exe utility. Mod authors should consult the authoring article compelx wrote on his profile.
Their we go this is what i have been waiting on!

Can't wait to try it. seems interesting.
interesting idea:
have some mods specify values in the lua script that can be changed by through the mod manager in a mod settings section.
Yeah thats was my intent but each player will need to use the same settings for online games just keep this in mind, ill be working on some settings over the weekend, so if anyone has a idea for a setting apart from build costs and speeds post it up ill see if it can be done.
could I get a toggle for those textures added in 2.0 that lay on the terrain below factories, etc.
I don't love the look of those.
It would also be nice to have a toggle for starting with 2 engineers
maybe a setting for unit movement speed if that's possible. things seem kind of slow now
Yes i can add a option for that.
Removing the mods causes the game to no longer launch. If I add the mods back it is able to launch but even after a game.pref reset it is unable to launch the vanilla SC2.
Any error messages or does it just generically crash?
There was an error message and it filed a crash report but I dont know how to submit it.
Look in your gamedata folder to see whats going on.
"Attention Windows 7 users!"
"Ensure you have Internet Explorer 9 or above"
The only IE is useful for in the slightest is activeX controls and there are better alternatives then that.
(I am one of those ppl that removed IE the moment I grabbed a better browser)
I primarily use Chrome but 3rd party browser integration with C# is a bit trickier and the alternatives I tested were either no longer supported or were considerably buggy.
I CANT GET MODS TO WORK WHY :( am i doing some mistake? i have the mod manager to game directory to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Supreme Commander 2\SC2MM\mods

also if i click game hash it always says "an error has occured" and that a log has been made , below it it says that path couldnt be found for several files im confused
Google chrome and my anti-virus software is telling me that this file is a virus. :(
Send an imgur link of the warning. I'm curious why the previous version has never been flagged.
Don't worry about warnings from AVs because the mod manager is made by a unknown developer it doesn't mean its a virus!
I keep getting virus warnings. Windows Defender is labeling it as a Trojan for some reason.
It might be because of the call out to an external site for version checking/update functionality. Frankly, I'm not sure how to mitigate this. There's no malicious embedded code or calls. If concerned you can always ask for feedback from the rest of the community. Thanks!
I continue to use the obsolete version cause everytime i try to select the exe it says catastrophic failure.
Every time i start the mod manager it says an exception occurred with a long coding list and a dump file saying a "logic error or missing database..." .
Ive reinstalled the manager at least 3 times through my use of playing SC2 with mods already.
how do i use the mod maker to convert SCD files to the SC2 format?
Any way to make the function to the local PC? I can't get the access code from google because of the Chinese blocking.
This upcoming release will have a debug menu which will allow you to select a local or remote version of jQuery which is almost certainly what you're encountering

Why is it detected as a virus by windows defender ?
The check for updates function trips the heuristic engine in Defender. It *may* go away with the newer updater code I plan on including in the next release
I can't get the mod manager to ready ANYTHING. Been trying for over an hour now. I put the files on the desktop, like instructed. When I open MM, and go to Desktop, the files are not there.
Make sure u extract them from the rar you download.
I keep getting a popup error every time I run the app. I can activate and run the game with the mods fine, it is just every time I run app the error pops up.

Disable your anti-virus it thinks its a Trojan because it connect to moddb to check for updates.
Thanks for the reply, it worked.

It works, just disable it temporarily.
