Tool for automatically fixing the "Registry is corrupt and has been altered" error that some RA3 players encounter when trying to go online. Just input your Red Alert 3 CD key into the input box, and it'll add it to your Windows registry for you.
Information:
This is a tool for fixing the "Registry is corrupt and has been altered" error that some
RA3 players encounter when trying to go online.
The tool asks one for their RA3 CD key and inputs that key where it should be in the registry
automatically. It also checks if the key is a valid 20 character key, if the key contains anything
that isn't a number or alphabetical letter, and if the user has separated their CD key with dashes
into groups of four.
This tool also checks if a registry key is already in the registry or not, preventing those who
don't read this readme from messing up their installation by thinking they need to put in their
CD key.
For some people, there is a permissions restriction in place in the registry that prevents one
(even an administrator) from modifying items in the registry. An error prompt will pop up if the
tool encounters this; and the user will need to modify the registry permissions themselves
(there are guides online).
cd key?
The license key for your game is what a CD Key is. You input one of these codes normally when you have a disk copy of anything--most digital versions already include the CD Key in your registry on installation (at least they're supposed to; however, sometimes for Origin users, this process fails for RA3. This tool fixes that by allowing you to input your key and the tool writing it where it needs to go in your registry).
