Description

Contains PSX DOOM CE with graphics and audio addons. Requires DOOM2.WAD (see prerequisites instructions below). Comes bundled with GZDoom 4.8.2 for convenience, but you can use an existing installation of it. Read the readme for more details.

You can load doom 2 map packs as pwads to the psx doom ce iwad, and monsters and weapons will use their psx behavior instead of the usual. The menus will be kind of janky, though.

Just thought I'd put it out there PSY DOOM V1.0 is officially out now but it only uses the ps Doom iso disks. If by any chance could you convert doom reloaded/PLUTONIA 2 & fall of Triton so that their all in one package as an ps Doom iso so that they'll work on PSY DOOM please if this is too much of an complicated job that's perfectly fine I myself don't know how to do such a thing witch is why I ask you but like I say if it's too much Hassel that's fine

edit: i have tested this with doom combined. it works... kinda.
the only oddity i notice is the soundtracks for anything in doom combined not in psx doom ce (including the final doom maps) use the default MIDI files. that and they dont show up in the level select. both can be patched
if at all possible, can i ask for a patch for doom combined? hell this confirms my theory of doom 2, final doom, master levels, etc being basically the same game so why keep em seperate.

also doom combined requires you to have all the IWADS for doom anyway. it's just one pretty package til you can get around to smooshing psx doom and psx final doom together.

I have never played Doom Combined, I'll have to try it out. If it's not too much effort perhaps I can do something about it.

From what I've read it combines all the iwads, but this mod already contains all the campaigns, so doesn't that make it kind of redundant? I'll investigate more.

the mod doesnt combine doom1/2 with final doom yet. and that's the key thing i'd like to happen.
psx doom should be one game. as in, final doom too.
but yeah it combines every iwad under doom 2, which is similar to your mod, just final doom is still seperate despite also using doom 2.
64 is the odd one out... though i do hope the unmaker can get ported into psx doom.

D_READ_M has D_ both at the start and the middle of its name, and I was blindly replacing all occurences of D_ when doing music lookups.

It will be fixed in the next update, but if you want to fix it yourself right now, open zscript/music.zsc and change line 94 for this:

let prefix = music.Left(2);
if (prefix == "D_") music = music.Mid(2);
