Contains PSX DOOM CE with graphics and audio addons. Requires DOOM2.WAD (see prerequisites instructions below). Comes bundled with GZDoom 4.8.2 for convenience, but you can use an existing installation of it. Read the readme for more details.
Version 3.3.0 (Full)
- Fixed the Weapon Sway settings not applying after loading a saved game.
- Updated the startup graphics.
- Fixed the Lost Soul not having dynamic lights attached on some death frames.
- Reduced the default volume of ambient sound effects to 80%.
- Fixed the squishy crushed gib effect not working.
- Fixed the gradient brightness setting not applying without having to reload the level.
Prerequisites
Starting from version 2.0.5, PSX DOOM CE does not run standalone and requires the DOOM 2: Hell on Earth WAD (DOOM2.WAD) to run. This change was made because many of the map packs being ported depend on DOOM 2 assets that are not present in PSX DOOM.
The BFG Edition and Unity rerelease DOOM 2 WADs are not supported. If you have DOOM 2 installed in Steam, open its installation folder and copy DOOM2.WAD from the base folder (not rerelease) into your gzdoom directory.
If the wad is present, you will be able to select PSX DOOM CE from the list when opening gzdoom.
I reuploaded this file at 21:00 UTC to fix some author names that were incorrect. Nothing else was changed.

Load this mod on top: Forum.zdoom.org
It should be fully compatible.
Works like a charm, thanks! I also downloaded the health bar mod they recommended, looks sick - kinda scratches that Borderlands itch lol
I have a random question. On the main mod page, for PSX Doom, it says "The maps included here are based on conversions made for the PSX Doom TC."
Does this mean you took the maps from the old PSX Doom TC and changed/edited them in some way, or are all the maps in this exactly the same as the ones in PSX Doom TC?
They are mostly the same, they were batch-edited to use the colored lighting data straight from the original psx maps (the TC ones had incorrect values).
Is there any way I can load the playstation levels as a wad instead so that I can play these levels with mods so that I don't run into compatibility issues?
