an yess i have half life 1 and 2 on steam wit source code sdk downloaded an installed

How can u play this mod without steam u probly need steam to play it
u think Steam launched Half-Life ?...Half-Life is older than Steam and it means ALL MODS WORK WITHOUT STEAM ALSO !!!....some people are so uninformed...
You dont. If you put it to the Half Life without steam, just select Custom Game in the menu and activate the mod. i have WON version, a lot of mod work perfectly :D
You have to copy the files into to make the mod work: I:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\<username>\half-life, then you restart Steam and it should appear.

This is one of the best half-life mods ever its scary, creepy and action packed i recomend it to anybody who doesnt wet their pants at the slightest scare

u find ur hl1 folder and drag and drop it in there, then u click on the main menu change game
found the problem, I think the download location is completely separate from the actual download location for where ever you put steam. just try browsing any game local files, then go all the way back to see which directory you put it in, then get the exe installer ready and try installing it with the same directory for steam (ex here is my install location D:\System\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Half-Life). the folder itself will be named half-life anyways so just rename it to paranoia. i think you can get a directory shortcut installed through steam also but im not sure. anyways i tried to help as much as i can even though im 13~ years late to this.

Your version of Half-Life is outdated. You need version 1.1.1.0 or higher to play Paranoia without issues. Try to update your Half-Life.
Nope... That error comes time to time even with the latest steam HL1-version.

CS is (why u hope not? thats good game) is online only, this is SP only.
He's probably a COD fan boy who hates Counter Strike. (as most of them do based on observations. -_-)

you don't need to do that just go where it saved the paranoia folder and replace/place the paranoia files with the old ones, that should be it :)

tO USE: Install in your half-life folder, launch half-life. press "Activate games" or "Custom games" and click on PARANOIA then click activate. go back and press new game.

You can also run half-life if paranoia is installed under your half-life folder, then just click on "change game" and Paranoia should be on your list. Click on paranoia and it should launch the mod then just click new game or something like that.
Does any1 know of any console commands to run mods?
i.e:
run_mod Paranoia
or
mod_run Paranoia
or something like that?

Probably, but it's much easier if you have steam.

for steam, just install in your HL foldier, restart steam, if it shows the bam, run the icon therw steam and it should work, if not your on supream hax my friend *lol jk*.

great models in the mod , the spirit.dll should precache sound files used by models as shows this kind of messages :
SV_StartSound: common/body_knee.wav not precached (0)

SV_StartSound: spas12_insertshell.wav not precached (0)
i had other message that should get easy to correct : Warning: Unable to open sound/texts/%d_mozg.tga for transferError: server failed to transmit file 'sound/texts/%d_mozg.tga'
the sound/ should be a path error
the sound files are in a lot of format : 12000 , 16000 or 44100 hz from files i looked at because i had : "WARNING! ......wav is causing runtime sample conversion!" . GoldWave can resample files in batch mode : look for BatchProcessing at its website .
appart that bugs , that s a great mod
