Massive Overhaul Submod install file part 2.
This is the second of the two full version install files. You need both of them to install the mod successfully!
Massive Overhaul Submod (MOS) 1.7 full version install instructions:
Platform = Medieval II Total War Kingdoms with a clean working and non modded version of the Third Age Total War mod installed.
1) Download the "MOS Full version 1.70.rar" part 1 and part 2 files.
2a) For non Steam versions of Medieval II Total War Kingdoms: Extract the "MOS Full version 1.70.rar" files to the "mods" folder. In a standard install, you can find it here:
***\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\Third_Age_3
When asked if files should be overwritten, choose yes (all). That's it, you can now start the game by clicking the "Third Age.bat" file that is located in your "Third_Age_3" folder. Of course you can also make a shortcut to the "Third Age.bat" file, place it anywhere you want and use that to start the game.
2b) For Steam versions of Medieval II Total War Kingdoms: Extract the "MOS Full version 1.70.rar" files to the "mods" folder. In a standard install, you can find it here:
***\Steam\steamapps\common\Medieval II Total War\mods\Third_Age_3*
When asked if files should be overwritten, choose yes (all). That's it, you can now start the game by clicking the "Third Age.bat" or the "Third Age - Steam.bat" file that is located in your "Third_Age_3" folder. One of the two should work.* Of course you can also make a shortcut to the these files, place it anywhere you want and use that to start the game.
3) Install the patch(es)
* This is the folder path where Third Age Total War typically would be installed after the latest Steam update for Medieval II Total War.
* What file to use depends on which method you deployed to start your Steam Third Age Total War install. "Third Age.bat" starts the "kingdoms.exe" file whereas "Third Age - Steam.bat" starts the "medieval2.exe" file.

I probably should've asked this before I downloaded, but will this interfere with any previous MOS downloads? And when installing should I install this part before the other one?
It is best to install this over a clean TATW version. You don't need the old MOS versions.
I've downloaded the second MOS version, part 2, but as I begin to extract it I get an error message telling me the file is broken. Something to do with a music file. Any suggestions/resolutions?

Downloaded the single file version (link found on TWC forums)and that fixed it!
Here's the link to replace the broken music.dat Mega.co.nz
this link doesn't exist more
Do you know where i are able to download this?
Same problem here
Scroll up, click on addons, download the MOS music pack
I can't extract the files in the folder Third_Age_3. Win rar starts to work but it says that is impossibile to create the file because is impossible to find the specificated path. What can I do to fix it? My TATW is 3.2 version and it works perfectly
Not sure if it will fix your problems, but in the instructions it says to extract the files in the "mods" folder, not the "Third_Age_3" folder.
Anyone answer my question ????? I am really into the dwarves sub mod, and after downloading MOS im so gonna download the new dwarven armor like that of the hobbit mod by someone in the forum and I am just wondering does this patch include that mini mod other than the MOS itself? I am really really confused with the installation of The new dwarven armor like the hobbit movies. I am not sure if I should download it or install it after MOS or if its ok to just have it stand alone and just copy paste the textures to the vanilla files

hi everyone, i am currently facing a lot of troubles to get mos working, especially when it gets to crashes right during turn-changing. i am pretty sure im doing something wrong along the inst.process. i was wondering if anyone could pls teach me the exact installing procedure (along with all must-delete files), in a very simple fashion like: step 1...step 2... step 3...etc...it would help so much.
thank you all

So updates are really needed! For Example, the economy system sucks! The people shouldnt be unhappy when population is growing... 2, a lot of buildings just don't do anything... and a lot of settlements don't allow you to build any units after you leave a certain range.. thats just not cool!
With the extracting of part 2 it says my music.dat file is broken. How can I fix this? It's not a major problem but you don't have the same mood playing without the music?
I have this problem too, let's hope that the developers of the mod can give us an answer on how to solve it.
Scroll up, click on addons, download the MOS music pack
Okay so I got a new computer up and running and I installed Mos and all other mods/subs I enjoy for this game. Everything that wouldnt run on my old computer is running beautifully. Only thing I noticed was when starting a new campaign as any faction, I would get all these script popups for extra features once on the map, only since ive upgraded, I don't get these scripts anymore so whats missing/going on?
how do i extract the files so i can put them over my third age
i've downloaded the file's (both part 1 and 2) but i cant open them cause there RAR-files. how do i open them properly? (thanks forr cooperation, its the first time i download a mod @youhavetostartsomewhere

I have installed the mod the exact right way, i can start it and everything BUT when im gonna play a custom game it all just crashes. Have I done anything wrong?
What do you mean with "custom game"?
Try updating your display drivers, if that doesn't work try turning off automatic daylight saving time.
thx for this mod! its just great, you did a nice job guys! :D
Excellent!
there is anny other link to download part 2? this link is downloadind at 50 kb/s...

Sorry but when I intend to extract files from part 2 it gives a fatal error, it says "Some input files cannot be read(may be locked, not accessible or corruoted). May riquire a different password for the current operation"
Can you help me?

Is there a steam launch option so I can just launch it from one of the kingdoms options when I start the game via steam?
