I try to use the Debug spawner by pressing "esc" and then "s" with no success.

Are you using any addons? If you've got an old version of the Full A-Life Simulation addon, that'll disable the debug menu.

Go to the CoC executor who is in your workspace.

With the right button select properties, then go to Destination and type after the "(of a space), -dbg. Ready Debug Spawer will be available for you, it is simple to find information, the easiest is to do this.

Readded character speeds from Call of Misery
Readded flashlight beam from Call of Misery
Readded night vision from Call of Misery

Right..., now please someone tell me how to revert that back.

All of those things are in the game files - I know player speeds are in configs\creatures\actor.ltx.

For the flashlight:

Edit gamedata\configs\models\objects\light_night.ltx
Look for the following line:

spot_angle = 35

and set it to 75 to get the old flashlight radius back. If you don't have it extracted, here you go:

Is ExoSeva a real thing or just an outfit 4 NPC's?

Not sure. I'm guessing it's available as a player outfit.

I've spent way more time on this than I should, and the changes aren't even that many, in my opinion. I've got a four minute long presentation due for Tuesday, and it's only one minute long so far.

Thanks. We'll see. I didn't make this patch, btw, lol. It was made by the developers at VK. Vk.com

I hope they will patch engine to 8GB ram support again.
I would really like to see it shine in stalker 2k pack textures.
Thanks for updates guys!

8GB ram support seemed like a one big fraud. Creator didn't want to share any info about it and we couldn't really test it out. Also, making stalker support 8GB of ram is quite a huge thing which would bring a lot of attention with many announcements, while this went pretty quietly being just a thing for a modpack. Not really plausible. Nevertheless, 1.1 runs a lot smoother than 1.0 and the performance difference is really noticable.

No problem fam, we're doing our best to share everything we should with you all!

I already commented it before, as soon as 1.1 version was out I tested 8GB support and commented that it is not supporting 8GB ram.
That even doesnt make any sense because if you make something support 8Gb of ram that means that engine is 64 bit and why would one make x64 engine and then limit it to 8GB if x64 engine is actually supporting up to 16.8 milions of terabytes of RAM, heh, thats a plenty of room for some big mods lol.
But whats even more interesting is that they made it multi threaded partly.
So anyway big thumbs up for them for their fantastic work, because first time that I see so big mod with all maxed including grass density and distance that gives 100fps in Jupiter near Yanov, that should be marked as achievement somewhere on moddb hah.

Well, multi thread thing is just changing processor affinity which has been known to some of the stalker community for quite some time already. It's nice that they made those .cmd'a so we don't need to change the affinity through the task manager.

It is known for quite some time but I never managed to make it to work.
It is unreliable and probably just a bug, also that trick only works with win7, win10 doesnt have that option in task manager.
Multithreading is total different thing that has to be coded in engine and it doesnt have any direct relationship with changing cpu affinity while engine is still coded to use one core.
You have to code the engine and tell it to use different tasks for different cores.
What they did with engine now I dont know, but they made it just a little bit to multithread.

Thanks for constant input and info Appuruu, can I ask you how your last day runs and how it uses your threads and cores.
When I run this no matter using .cmd or regular exe I get 100% usage on 2nd thread (which is usually 1st thread/core on other mods) and little bit of usage on 1st and 3rd.
Or is this trick about affinity is making it work like that?

Well, in my case there is no huge performance difference, but there are less stutters, that's for sure. Haven't really checked CPU usage with those two. Might want to ask Sasha about it.

You're welcome mate!

The underlying process is still not multi-threaded in any meaningful way as you point out, SikiTheKiller. Setting processor affinity isn't going to make a big difference. I don't use those scripts and continue to start it as before - it makes no real difference.

There is active work going on to create a 64-bit version of the CoP engine, but it's got a way to go yet. Here is Alundaio on the current status of x64 STALKER: Facepunch.com

with the new patch spawn is totally crazy, in janov station or in the janov scientist bunker just reloading mutants (chimeras, blddsuckers) or stalkers (enemies), is that a bug? I found the dead stalker exoskeleton as soon as I want to use it crashes game without crash log.

For some reason developers changed population factor values. You can change those in the game options. Might want to start a new game because it will make the change since beggining, while changing those on an ongoing playthrough will make you wait untill all of the spawned mutants and NPC's die.

I tried to download the mainfiles,
It keeps to failing the download 5gb or less after its compeletion everytime I tried.
there is a chance to download it here in the Moddb?
Because I download it like 5 times, and it still failing, and it is impossible for me to download the files from Drive after too many GB downloaded already just to fail completely and start again to 0.

Too many changes that seem a huge step backwards. The mod's already as stable as a stool with two legs as it is, particularly in the Garbage or Yantar, where I'm getting freezes that require me to hit Ctrl-Alt-Delete to kill the process using Task Manager every half hour or so - and that's the farthest apart they've been - this means, of course, my log file doesn't work so there's no way of pin-pointing what's causing the crashes.

And thus there's no way of getting help with them. This is annoying because last night I spent almost more time dealing with crashes than playing the actual game. I'd be happier if I just got the pop up from Windows telling me the game's crapped out again instead of the Ctrl-Alt-Delete cycle I seem to be stuck in.

No way of getting help? I haven't seen you ask for help anywhere, and I don't quite understand how your log file "wouldn't work".

Reply Good karma+1 vote
kanedaozaki70
kanedaozaki70 - - 17 comments

When you CTRL-ALT-DELETE to bring up the Task Manager to kill a process that's hanging, stopping Windows' Error Report Form buttons from coming up, if it happens to be X-Ray Engine, it kills the process and wipes the log file, as when I went to the Appdata folder to look at the log after every time it happened until I got tired of doing so, the log file was 0Kb in size.

In other words there's nothing there to copy-paste from. So there's no data available to put in a bug-report. Don't ask me why that happens, just understand that it did. For twenty odd consecutive full on game freezes. In the space of a few hours.

That's why I said the log file doesn't work. Because it doesn't.

When the game DID crash straight to desktop instead of freezing, there were log files that I could do something with.

Yeah, sorry if I sound like I'm getting at you guys, it's not your fault. I do love the mod, it's why I have spent so much time playing it. It's just frustrating when it continually goes down.

Translation's good, as it happens. Nothing vital in playing the game is missing, and that's always the thing I look out for.

kanedaozaki70 Which version of DirectX are you using? Try DX9 if you're not already doing so, it's the most optimized version of the lot (Enhanced Full Dynamic Lighting).

Of course, nothing in your description calls out graphics as the problem but it could well be an out of memory problem which may be alleviated by being in DX9.

Take a look at the process's memory usage the next few times you have to kill it and see where it's at.

DX9 has all of the bells and whistles of 10 and 11 except for volumetric fog and the wet surface shader, neither of which makes a difference sufficient to make up for the disadvantages that come with using 10 (11 is strictly worse than 10.1 and should never be used).

Hi!
I'm still on Last Day 1.0 and I'm getting constant crashes. The crashes happen anywhere between a couple seconds to hours into the game. It usually happens when I aim down the sight on the weapon I use and shoot at an enemy mostly when I shoot at a monolit NPCs and mostly happens in Pripyat and the Red Forrest. There's no crash message on screen just a sound like the second notification sound when you plug in a USB device on win 10, the next thing is the desktop.

My question is, is this version solves this problem or is there any known fixes for my problem?

A second problem I have with the game is the constant respawn of monolit NPCs I mean If I'm going from Pripyat to Army Warehouses in Red Forrest and the monolit are coming back as i shoot them. I already killed maybe 30-50 of them and they keep coming back and with the crashes I mentioned before it is not so funny restarting after nearly every pull of the trigger. Is it a bug or this is normal?

You must not be using the fix that was made for 1.0 way back in those times. If you insist on sticking to that version, here it is. Drive.google.com

1. Completely remove the folder you used so far.
2. Download Last Day 1.1 (it is stand alone, no CoC or Com is required) -> Drive.google.com
3. Download and apply patch for 1.1 -> Moddb.com
4. (Optional) Download and apply English translations -> Moddb.com
5. Play :)
