This is a fix for Land of the Dead Road to Fiddler's Greens level editor UnrealEd. This allows it to work on Windows 7, 8 and 10.
EDIT: 7/19/2023 - I have located the V3 version of the fix. This download has now been uploaded to include it. The v3 fix is recommended to use instead of the v2 fix.
Land of the Dead Road to Fiddler's Green runs on UE2 and has a level editor included in Patch 1.1. The level editor does not work on OS's above windows xp unless you apply this fix. To apply the fix just extract the files into your /system/ folder located in your Land of the Dead folder. Then run UnreadEdStart.bat.
Note this fix WILL crash the game if you try and run it normally. It's recommended to create a second install (run the game's setup again) in a separate folder for the editor.
Fix was created by Dragosvr92. It has been mirrored here for archival purposes as there are no public links available for it.
Ha, it was a nice surprise to see myself mentioned. Thank you. I havent made this fix though. "The Professor", a dev that worked on LOTD made it available to us after he finally released DOTZ in 2009. They are the Core files from DOTZ that were fixed to work on the latest operating system at the time, Win Vista.
I created the Unrealed Patch for Vista10 which can be found here:
Rising-dead.com
It contains new exe files for the game and editor that copy the necessary core files before running the each service. I never though to add it on moddb, but i might do at some point. A
The game is a bit newer than UE2. It confused me since i saw it looked nothing like it. Its based on UE 2.5, closer to UE3.
Hi that patch's download 404s now I can't get to it. Please reupload it.

I have found the v3 fix it's now included with this download.
Mcafee won't let me download as it is registering as a virus.
It's a false positive
wont let me run it
Doesn't seem to work, and your description mentions "Then run UnreadEdStart.bat" but doesn't include one?
Did you try the V2 or V3 fix?
I was using the V3 fix. Should I try V2 instead? It sounded like that one has other issues of it's own.
It couldn't hurt.
