A modified version of the map making Galaxy Forge tool designed for Star Wars: Interregnum. Complete with icons for most new planets and custom star background!
So naturally I jumped right at this once I saw it, but again have issues getting everything I put into a planet to actually spawn. Sometimes the things will pop up, sometimes they won't once I start a new game to test the map loadout. So I'll have a desert planet, local militia is empire strong, one group, with an always probability for planet owner, and have a certain amount of empire units within it. Very rarely will it work, and sometimes it does, and I have two of these exact planets, all the same and one will work and the other won't, so have no idea what I could potentially doing right, have checked every setting I could think of and just apparently need my hand held to get this to actually work.
First of all, you may want to try disabling the default template if you want your changes to replace what normally spawns there. Some default templates might conflict with what you're trying to do.
Second, if you're trying to spawn custom militia, the galaxy forge is not the best way to do that. I'd have to double check that particular template but the Empire militia random encounter only has a percentage chance to occur, so that way not all planets that could have it will have it.
I've found it is more reliable to just create new groups on each planet. What I do is make my map the way I want it, create the group of units. Then save the map, open the map in notepad, find the planet you put the militia on and change the owner of the group to "RandomMilitia", "Pirate" or I believe "EmpireRandomEcounter" for the Rogue Imperials. For some silly region Galaxy Forge does not support the minor factions as owners, so you have to change that parameter by hand.
Ah gotcha, yea I couldn't figure out where the obvious probability to spawn everything was coming in to play, much thanks, shall try this all out tonight
Yea I gave up after an hour of working on it, just couldn't get any of it to work, I know a year ago (long time) I didn't have to do anything with the notepad in terms of changes and could do everything in galaxy forge, but I dunno what I could be doing wrong here, oh well, shelved I suppose, thanks for trying though! I appreciate it ^_^
Send me your map file (or better put it on pastebin) and tell me the planet name you're trying to get this on. I'll take a look.
Militia via only groups have never worked via galaxy forge. If you were only messing with templates you may have gotten that to work, but I'd recommend not trying that too much until you really know what you're doing. Especially with this mod, since my templates are a lot more complicated than vanilla Sins ones. :p
I shall do so soon then, I'm gonna just make a map of pirate bases and cyber fortresses, for some reason those always have the extra units (like titans and whatnot) that I put in the group

That's because those planets are always owned, and you're trying to use "PlanetOwner" instead of editing the owner via notepad.
Hey, how can i place artifacts on the worlds?
Make sure you use the 'NoOwner' ownership option when you add it to a group.
ok thanks
