Impossible to extract the file.
I downloaded from all sources, same 48Kb file and same error to extract the .7z.
I have just tested it, and it was OK for me brother.
You need 7z (it's free!) or WinRAR (not an old version), to uncompress it.
You have to right-click the file and 'extract' onto the Game folder.
By the way, NICE picture!!!

I don't know if it's the mod or if it's FreeUI but recently using unification I couldn't reinforce Rubric Marines in the thousand sons mod is that from FreeUI?

Well, in Thousand Sons, the UI is different: There is a WHITE button at the RIGHT part of the taskbar, (just above the place where the buildings appear).
Select a squad, and you will see it. Press it, an you will see a secondary menu :)
Hi, sorry but something different happens to me. I cannot see that White Button cause there is a pink icon that stops me. I press it (the pink icon) but it doesn't do anything. What can I do?
I have the same problem, I can't see the building Icon or the switch icon for the Thousand sons, its just pink boxes. I've extracted the UI for it but it doesn't work
I have the folder for freeui but dont know where to put it. can I have some help?

After unzipping it you put it (both the folder and the file) directly into your Soulstorm installation folder.

i m bit confused as i m getting a missing "FreeUI" mod in my Chaos Demons Ultimate Apocalypse shown in my mod manager 1.4
Can this freeUI mod here be replaced with the one in my SS directory?

As far as I know there is ONE FreeUI, and you must ALWAYS get the latest build.
Porbably, i had the same error n never downloaded FreeUI, just downloaded it and extracted and now it says its good
I love it's intent but as before every time I update I can't use thousand sons anymore cause I can't reinforce them and there's pink boxes throughout the UI.
Sorry man, this is because FreeUI supports the latest (internal, unreleased) build of Thousand Sons.
For now, the ONLY workaround is to play Thousand Sons through Unification :)

For some reason when I extract lets say blood or dark angel content to my soulstorm dictory and go on game manager it doesnt show up.
im just wondering how to install it with UA because I cant seem to do anything cause it is downloaded as a RAR file
Late reply but extract the rar directly into the Soulstorm directory.

Seems to be incompatible with other races, excluding Thousand Sons. Playing with EC, there are no GUI elements (reinforce, req and power costs/income).
I don't see installation instructions anywhere...
What does it do and how do you installmit
Well, it is a requirement of other mods, it does NOT do anything by its own :)
You must download it, only if you are playing with our races (DA, WH, TS, etc)
hello, i downloaded FreeUI for UA/chaos demons/tyranids and now i'm confused since i don't know where to put the files after extracting them

So I downloaded both the latest Free UI and objective point mods and extracted them to my main game. Than I put the module files with the rest of the files in the main directory than download other mods and put there module files, but non of the mods show up. What should I do?
is there a safe way to get rid of the custom menu backgrounds?

where do you extract these files? I went to your installation guide post and that doesnt tell you either. i have no clue where either freeui or objectives files are suppose to be dropped.
Generally speaking all DoW SS mods are extracted and placed in the "Dawn of War Soulstorm" folder.
NOTE:
1) You do *not* need to download this (or objectives) separately for the Unification mod.
2) The Unification mod will install itself via an installer. Just follow the installer instructions and do *not* extract the Uni 7z files.

Sorry this is my first time installing a mod from modb I downloaded the file opened it in breezip and extracted it to my tyranids folder but it is not working im not sure what I did wrong.

I can't be the only person that's annoy at how much of a pain in the neck it is to find out how to install this. First page of the "Unification thread" what does that even mean?
*all* dow mods unless explicitly stated otherwise are extracted into soulstorm folder, in a way that does not just create a folder with the archive name.
Do note that unification 5.90 and forward does not need this mod. It has it incorporated.
