Yes. I don't have a screenshot but here's what happens:
Hero units seem bugged. When you click after they appear the error window pops up. ie: Window with skip/skip all/break and a text message. If I recall it says something about abilities. You can clear the error with Esc button or skip, but clicking on abilities to distribute pops another error up.
It happened with Advent and Vasari so far. [bug report from my 7 year old - he loves this]

It sounds like you are either playing the mod with the developer.exe or you somehow turned on "show errors" in your settings file. Either delete your "user.rebellion.setting" file to restore the defaults or open it in notepad, search for "ShowErrors" and set it to FALSE.
Those errors are not actually errors but what programmers called "asserts". As modders we change the game to work in ways the developers did not expect. Hero units happen to trigger these asserts but are perfectly safe, so as a player you just want to turn the errors off.

We want to get into some modding so handy to know.
I hadn't looked into modding too much as yet so didn't know about the settings/asserts etc.
(I'm a dev too btw)
Will the current one work with latest release 1.9 ok?
Yes. This mod works as long as you have Rebellion. If you have DLCs, you get the stuff you paid for. If you do not, you can still play the mod and enjoy all its new features. :-)

I've been running this version with mini mods and getting lots of errors with special ship abilities. Sins versions is latest 1.86

Looks like it, minus some missing text in the options.
Perhaps the mod is experiencing problems with the new 1.9 update?
No, the errors I was referring to were under 1.86
The update just happened now for us.
Have to say, those devs are ironclad superstars!
