This is an outdated Beta version of the Doom Combined mod. Read the description for a link to the latest version.
This project has now become a Full Mod, rather than just a file. This file mainly exists as a backup of the old version, and as something to use if any major bugs with RC1 are discovered.
I decided to make this a full Mod page instead of a file because that allows a full release history, and this project has become a lot larger than originally anticipated, so it would be nice for it to have it's own page where I can post updates etc.
It combines all of the official WADs into one single PK7 file to launch with your source port of choice. It incorporates elements of Doom 2 into The Ultimate Doom. Chaingunners in unexpected places, Arch Viles showing up to make life difficult, Super Shotguns around in helpful places. It also simplifies launching the Master Levels WADs. They no longer have to be individually launched and warped to to play them. With the PK7 from this mod, you only need to select The Master Levels and it will play them in sequence. Overall it's very nice and simple to use. 10/10

I was attempting to do a pistol run of every level and I came to a small issue. As far as I can tell, it's impossible to warp to a specific stage. Using GZDoom 3.1.0 it's impossible to warp to a specific stage of The Ultimate Doom if you selected any other WAD to launch with, which isn't terribly bad, but if you launch with the WAD of TUD selected, all of the enemies from Doom 2 are invisible. I'm not sure how this could be fixed or even if it could be fixed on your end.
Can you describe in more detail what you are talking about?
Are you saying the episode list doesn't appear so you can't play any Doom 1 maps?
If you are looking to warp to a specific map that isn't the start of an empside, you can use "changemap e2m3" for example in console. unfortunately the IDCLEV cheat will only work for Doom 2 maps, and as far as I can tell there is no way to change that.
I have done nothing to touch the Doom 2 enemies, in fact this mod doesn't affect any sprites at all. It only pulls in the patches, maps, and a few gfx files (like the intermission screen graphics), but I would like to help you with your problem anyway.
Can you provide some more details of what WADS you are using (with download links if they aren't commercial), what order they are being run in, etc? Are you running with Doom 2 as your IWAD?
If you are trying to play a Doom 1 PWAD, launch DC.pk7 with Doom 2 as your IWAD and the PWAD loaded after. Then you can select Knee Deep in the Dead and you will get the new maps.
Basically you should NEVER use anything other than Doom 2 as your IWAD when playing this, even if you are trying to play Doom 1 maps

Master Levels suck with brutal doom, cause instead of starting with Brutal Doom pistol i starting with vanilla pistol with no reload and old anmations. Please fix it if you can.

I just found your mod and have been looking for something like this since WadSmoosh came out but in seamless format.
Can you make the following changes / options:
1 - Freedoom 1 and 2 maps keeps their own textures instead but with doom monsters and weapons because I like the look their texture design?
2 Add Romero's revised E1M8 as E1M9 so it follows Doom:

I like that you've done something like this, been waiting for it for awhile, but is it possible to add support for Doom 64 for Doom 2? so I could play the three classic DOOM games all together at last.
Probably not. Doom 64 has different weapons and enemies, so it's mostly out of scope for this project
can you tell me where the ssg in e1m2 is? i really want it!
Backpack secret, but I think I moved it in the latest version to e1m3, since e1m2 seemed a little early for such a powerful weapon :)
Idea: Would be perfect if you put the whole 4 episodes of Ultimate Doom as a single entry on the top of Combined episode list
