Contains DOOM 64 CE with graphics and audio addons. Comes bundled with GZDoom 4.6.1 for convenience, but you can use an existing installation of it. Read the readme for more details.
Version 2.0.4 (Lite)
- Fixed the WorldGamma shader causing glitchy textures in some cases, such as when subtractive rendering is applied.
- Fixed Hell Knights and Barons of Hell infighting with monsters of their same type.- Both: Fixed exaggerated torch fire effect spawning and despawning correctly.
- DOOM 64 CE now requires a patched Steam DOOM64.WAD to work.
- Removed The Lost Levels.- 64: Fixed the Reset to Defaults option not working with GZDoom 4.6.1.
- Spectres will always be rendered translucent with their fade effect regardless of GZDoom's Spectre Translucency setting.
- Corrected the Hell Knight's non-smooth movement animation speed.
- Corrected the spawn offset of exaggerated fire flames when they spawn on top of torch stands.
Important notice regarding DOOM 64
Starting from version 2.0.4, DOOM 64 CE does not run standalone and requires a copy of DOOM 64 for Steam to work. Because of this, there are some manual steps that need to be followed prior to playing it.
Supported Steam DOOM64.WAD Checksums:
- MD5: E16E17F59AFE7B3297F53EBE7E9DE815
- SHA1: AE363DB8CD5645E1753D9BACC82CC0724E8E7F21
- SHA-256: 902E88504C55CB8F6E03774BA57A272565A65332F08578C3C6FA68972766DB2E
Inside this package you will find a file called DOOM64.BPS. This file must be used to patch an unaltered Steam DOOM64.WAD. To do it, you can use any utility that supports BPS patching, such as:
The resulting file must be named DOOM64.IWAD (note the IWAD extension, not WAD) and placed into the same folder as gzdoom.exe or any path in its IWADSearch.Directories. If everything went correctly you will see DOOM 64 CE when opening GZDoom.
If you downloaded this file and it was missing the DOOM64.BPS patch, please redownload it. I forgot to include it on the original upload.
You can also get it from the Lite version since it's a smaller download.
doom64.iwad can't be opened directly, instead open gzdoom.exe and select DOOM 64 CE from the list.
wtf thats a lot of gigs
75%+ is because of the soundtrack, use the Lite version if you think it's too much.
''Removed The Lost Levels''
wait, why?????
The developer did not approve of their inclusion and had to be removed.
That sucks. Thankfully i still have the previous version 🤫
Damn im glad i kept 203 version. Not gonna lose the whole package since the devs didnt want their precious 9 extra stages playable.
