This version is just the campaign generator program itself using the built-in assets. It's not likely we will have a unit pack, since bringing in WWII vehicles doesn't make much sense, but we do have permission from DMS to bring in maps from AS2 in future versions if we can figure out how.
Hi Jason1, thanks a lot for the mod. Everything works well for me, but I´m a little fan of scavenge. When I pick a weapon from dead bodies, I loose it from mission to mission.
Is that ok because it´s a beta version?
Dont think it will, we are far behind on CtA patches, due to various reasons, mainly that we cant keep up with the patches and our mod team only consists of two active members these days, and one of them (that's me) has absolutely no interest in CtA at all (if the devs would remove the silly FPS and add a Pz.Kpfw. IV to play with, then I maybe would get my interest back, but none of those two things will happen...)

One question....will the US side have light anti tank weapon like M72 LAW (don't know how they called ingame)? In previous version of DCG they had none and the grenadelauncher guy only had grenades and no main ammo for rifle. Will this fixed.
Hey Zeke how does the save system work for CTA cause like as2 i save to the folder dcg4 and it completes my mission. CTA doesn't save by the individual folder it looks like. they are saved with a .sav extension instead. So how do I complete the mission once my objectives are complete so that i may collect my points to buy more men or tanks. I may not have this correct but something is different.

compilation of user and developer provided hacks etc for installing and playing CTA Steam 1.017.0 with DCG CTA 5.0
1) before setting up DCG CTA 5.0 change map_full.pak to map_basic.pak in mods/campaign/xml/settings.xml
2) before setting up DCG CTA 5.0 start a game in CTA and save it I use campaign.sav, then go to documents/my games/call to arms/profiles/357865068/save/ and using I suggest 7-zip(free) extract campaign.save to same name folder. This new folder becomes the save folder for DCG in settings. Your profile # may/will be different.
3) you must have purchased and installed CTA Basic Game Steam $15, I haven't tried any other purchased CTA games.
4) run DCG setup after doing 1 -3 add MOD from workshop(i used this method, may be other) select dcg game and play. when finished save game as campaign from #2. Then as in #2 extract campaign.sav to campaign save folder from #2 while DCG is running. if everything works DCG will have gone into the campaign reults screen
5) I found my mouse unresponsive at beginning of game, it freed up once I went to CTA settings screen and went back to game. Mouse started responding.
6) I like to modify the load outs for vehicles so I go to the installed game, extract the largest pak file in game resources file then move that resulting folder to the resources proper folder in DCG CTA 5.0 I now have access to all def files to change load outs. use entity.pak in CTA resources/entity/ folder
Hope these helps let me know if you find anyother work arounds until the DCG crew can get around to fixing these quirks.
Thanks for posting this, but I'm running into a problem. When I launch the DCG mission, I have no UI and can't control any units. Literally my only options are to pan around the map, or hit esc which asks me if I want to quit the game. Any ideas? I am trying to run it in hardcore mode if that makes any difference.
I have the mod working. When I go into the mission, my mini-map doesn't show up. I also cant move my camera around to see anything nor can I select my units to order them anywhere. I don't know if im the only one with this issue, but please help. Would be greatly appreciated
I have found a solution to the interface disappearing on mission start with only the possibility to exit from the game.
In the 0.mi in the map DCGmission folder, at triggers>start>actions i deleted scenario with the camera variables that contained.
But then i wasn't able to continue the campaign, and it turns out that by packing the saves into .sav the DCG isn't able to read them, so you have to unpack your .sav file after the battle.
Last but definitely not least, you have to do these 2 things after any battle because the camere variables will be re-created after every new change of map and .sav file won't extract itself.
Is the mod still working, I ve tried for MOW AS 2 and CTA but I can t make it work both times, the mod is greyed in the mod selection as if it wasn t up to date ...

No, you only need to download the version made for your game, ie. the AS2, CtA or vMoW version of DCG. You do not need to download all versions.

It needs to be updated, that's what the game says.
My guess is that you need to update the info in the mod.info file. Open the file named "mod.info" and change the line
{maxGameVersion "0.908.0"} so that the numbers within the " " corresponds to the latest game version of CtA.
Then it should work again, since DCG doesnt change any game values etc.
We have a new version of DCG coming up soon so if you dont get it to work, a working version _should_ be released in a while.

I really dont know. I dont play CtA, but Jason1 told me that the CtA devs recently changed the save system and it ruined the way how DCG works.

I find that if I go into options after hitting escape then return to game I have control. Not sure why. I play in hard core mode also
